I've witnessed transition from analog to digital , I even remember posting on forums about this guy who literally butchered a novation keyboard ( which I own, and now, thanks to planned obsolescence, is obsolete -_- ) but in a Genius way, in order to control his Ableton Live sessions and it was kicking *ss ( the guy also manufactured a small amount of controllers, can't remember his name , sorry - I think it's a californian artist )

I've known - still do - and met a lot of these "Artisans" ( as we call them in France ) and they're great sound Artists , wether they work in digital or analog, if you dig a little bit, there's gems to be found out there

Pedals have a place in history just like the hammond, the mellotron or the vox AC30.

I'm guitarist, have tons of pedals and love them but...I'm not really interested in watching a 2h documentary about them

This is without a doubt the holy grail, at the moment , the history lessons alone are pure gold , the anecdotes and info is just awesome , love it , luvvvvvvvvv ittttttttttttt!!!!!

Interesting from a historical view of guitar pedals and their evolution to the digital modeling ones of today, it brought back memories of when I built some custom pedals and circuits of my own and even sold some to local bands who liked the sounds I got from them. This is something not really easy to do anymore transistors, IC chips, coils and quality capacitors are difficult to find and way too expensive. Name brand capacitors,resistors, pots, transistors and any parts in the '60's - '70s were really inexpensive and available at electronic stores everywhere.
