[dead] Potential New UK Legislation screenshot
According to the Guardian and others, minister Ed Vaizey is still considering web blocking as a serious option to tackle copyright infringement. Richard Clayton, from our AC, met with Ofcom alongside Peter Bradwell, our copyright campaigner, to tell them that web blocking is doomed to fail: and plenty of evidence that it would also create collatoral damage to free speech if pursued as a widespread tactic to reduce copyright infringement.

The answer, as ever, is bringing legal services online. But the core issue is businesses finding ways to bring their products to their audiences, not repressive measures with vast and unwanted side effects to our freedom of expression.

You can do your bit by letting your MPs know that this is not acceptable.

Are they serious? [it's not April Fools...] If they are F them they can go take a shit on this. Sharing can never be stopped no one owns the internet not even the government. Why are they trying to take away our forum and other sharing sites? How would they feel if we shut them down...hehe heeee. angry

On one level yes. On another votes mean shit. The people who are really in power get their goals accomplished through either side of politics.

This goes beyond politics.

They want to control all information on the internet.

Enforcing copyright is just a front, or the first step.
Without faith nothing is possible. With it, nothing is impossible.

Unfortunately my friends, since they started it,they will do it someday. And that is because it's not the goverments that govern the countries. It's the firms, the companies if my english are correct.Whether it is medicine firms, weapons companies, oil companies etc they give orders to the goverments to obey for their benefits,to sell their products:medicines, weapons, helicopters etc OR to steal from rich countries like Libya,Iraq,Afganistan,Panama,Ecuador etc, etc.READ (e.g. ''Confessions of an economical hitman '') ,SEARCH, RESIST AND FIGHT BACK FOR OUR FUTURE.GOOD LUCK.

The thing is that it will push it underground. so country's that can access the site's to download the warez will do so but then they will burn them to disc then smuggle them in to country's and sell then making other people rich.

It's only because they can not tax it, what we need to do is take a leaf out of the book of people in the Arab world and rise up and say " we can not take any more of your F*****G S**T" . because if we don't they will just carry on take the P**S
If Microsoft can be cracked then the rest is fair game

Copyright infringement = loss of money for the companies
Loss of money for the companies = no more products
No more products = no software
No software = no AudioZ at all

We are stealing; let's do it in silence. There's no need to say a word here. Really.

Companies are the primary source of Software. THEY and THEY alone can stop theft by NOT putting it on their websites or in publicly accessible websites.

All software that can be read by a computer is readable by humans and thus editable to bypass whatever gimmicks they include to prevent the bypassing of serial checks and such.

If they want to stop people from "stealing" then they should not put the key to the front door under the welcome mat...

Some use ware(z) for preview purposes and buy what they like. Some for stuff they never could afford in the first place. Those people ain't hurt'n nobody's profits. You can get longer sentence for copyright infringement than for murder. How F'd up is that?
Corporate interests are the only thing that seem to matter to western governments nowdays.
Like I said. Well placed projectiles can send a loud message to corporations.
