This library involves an 18″ Zildjian Spiral Trash Cymbal and if played as a normal cymbal, it has a very bright, toppy tonality… But by using contact mics the bottom end of the spectrum is augmented a lot! And with decay dampened the scope of use is also expanded… So I explored every way I could think of to generate sounds with it – from simple trashy crash sounds, drops, rolls, bowed & struck with different mallets & decay dampening… All while recording to six tracks: Trance Audio contact mics x2 on the bell of the cymbal plus Sanken CUX100K x2 stereo and Sennheiser MKH8040 x2 stereo

Atmospheric birds sound recordings

A while back we stayed at an AirBNB near Joshua Tree National Park. The hosts set up a bird feeder right outside the porch which inevitably drew what seemed to be the entirety of the region’s wildlife to our doorstep, including a bobcat and some coyotes. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any sound from the bobcat, and only mediocre recordings from the coyotes, but the Gambel’s Quails stole the spotlight and gave us a lot of interesting and goofy sounding bird calls to listen to. The atmosphere the birds created was so interesting to us that we spent countless hours listening, taking photos and recording them.

A bad piano that sounds great​​

700MB of 24bit multi samples noise, weird looping, uneven notes, wow, flutter & multi throb. I know you've already got hundreds of 'proper' pianos, that sound like proper pianos and behave like proper pianos, but you haven't got anything as improper as BAD PIANOS. This is a wonky piano that oozes character and wrongness, but is still a joy to play and can make piano noises that sound like no other piano. A minimal interface beneath which lurks a maximalists desire to warp, bend and squash millions of new sounds into the aether.
