i think everybody would love to get a duo or quad card, but there are a few things that i don't like..

- if the daw /main computer dies, it is possible that the card will die as well.i don't think Uad will refund or send a new replacement card..

- all plugins are quite expensive for the "normal" guy. of course, a studio that just spent 200K on some outboard gear, mixing desk, or just put 40K on a pair of monitors, 300 or 400$ aren't very important. but a guy, even a young guy who takes his hobby seriously, and decides to save his cpu power for other tasks, by buying an uad card, well, he might only be able to buy one plugin once a year..

- the cpu chart at uad is quite funny. they display how many instances each plugin can use, on each card, at 44.1 16bit.
but come on.... any serious user works AT LEAST at 96Khz 24bit. AT LEAST. and i wouldn't be surprised if +70% of the users were working at 192 32bit.
lol, their 44.1 16bit chart, suddenly, becomes a true joke. because there are some plugins, which eat up 50% of one cpu, at 96 24, the guy would need an octo card, just to be able to have 2 or 3 instances of that plugin...

This emulation is awesome! I know coz' I own it...like I said before, UAD plugs in my opinion are worth every cent! Thank you Horsemen for this share...no such thing as too much info.

Definitely a superb plug-in, but it eats up a lot of dsp so making audio files is for now the best way to use it several times in the same project. Not a big issue but still. I guess I use too much UAD plugins.

there is no difference between uad plugs and other good plugs the diff is in your audio chain!!!

VERY true....but UAD doesn't hog system resources but you are right there are no differences in the Native plugs and the UAD plugs... :)

I'm reading all comments about "there's no difference about UAD and other...blah, blah, blah"
Had any of you tested UAD plugins? If you think there's no difference, you should go to your Doc and test your hearing!
