This was only released yesterday, and these cost less than £10. Dont expect to see many more of these videos if you're going to ruin a small one man business that doesn't make large amounts of money. I know the person that runs this and you are not helping his business by posting this so soon.

I think more consideration is needed for small businesses that sell cheap products. Surely people on here can afford the cost of this cheap video.

I agree with you that it's respectful to wait at least some time particularly when it's very small companies and the product is fairly priced.

It's a double edged sword however. I'm sure many of us had never heard of the company until now (I'd heard of neither the company OR presenter).

IF the information is good I'm sure at least a few will buy it or check out the company's other products or the person's music. The overwhelming majority of other downloaders are not "lost sales" because they wouldn't have even known the product existed, let alone purchased it.

(FWIW, I just bought a Kontakt library yesterday that I already downloaded here, because it was fairly priced and I knew I'd use it often. Sure, we're not the majority, but we do exist!)

dude if you knew the amount of people that "contribute" here and everyone had the mentality of "oh surely people on here can afford it" nothing would ever be shared here. There have been requests of $2 products to be posted here. You are really preaching to the wrong crowd here

Well even if i havnt watched it i would have loved to someone actually said something that helped people to dare get their music or what ever it is they create out for people to hear or watch. But the thing is that we are not all the same as stated in the clip. And there it were most of these tries fails. Sure it can help some to take te step but it all depends on what kind of experiences the person has and thats just not in their creation.

I guess what im refering to is the example with a kid learning to walk. Its a KID and a kid havnt build up so much bad things yet so he will continue to try walk even if someone stands there and says he cant. They learn about all things they see and hear. Later in life though we start to have failures and things that aint going our way. Depending on how we handle that will be the big factor on how much we can build self confidence and things related to that. Its all about acceptence on how things are and understanding how you, yourself is handling good and bad and most of all how you are the reason how others see you. Totally agree thoug that most of us are very good at beating ourself up for no reason what so ever. Just like this hostile situations that once in while pop up here at Audioz. It will NEVER come any good things out of anger since its just unrational sate to be in since all you do is stop taking responsibility.. So be nice to each other and accepts other for who they are. Maybe that will end up beeing the start of something great and a step to get your stuff heard or seen..

I'm not preaching to anyone, I just think small developers should be given a chance to earn some money off their product before it is spread around for free.

I appreciate what people are saying, but this guy funds his next seminar with the proceeds from the last, and if you distribute his videos the day he releases them, then dont be suprised if there is not more seminars.

Google: Admittedly not everyone will find this video as good as the normal masterclass videos, it's not for everyone, but to make it in the music industry you also need to get into a certain mindset, and Krust was trying to get people to think. Nobody else is really doing talks like that, especially in the drum and bass circuit.

Anyway, soon to be released from the guys at digital labz will be a masterclass from 'Break' and one from 'Optical'. I was at these seminars and they will be worth getting when they are released to the public.

I do expect this stuff to be posted on here eventually, but I think give digital labz a couple of weeks or so to earn some revenue for their efforts before you spread it all over the internet. I know people like to rush releases out to gain some kind of online kudos, or are just thinking about the extra money they will earn from their links, but my philosophy, regardless of whether I know the developer or not, is that the little guys should be given more respect.

You're obviously very reasonable and respectful, and I can respect what you're saying - but imagine what that would take... for example, who's to say how long it's fair to wait? 1 month? 2 months? a year? Then who finally releases it. Then you have to figure how small or large a developer should be and - what a nightmare. Times have changed, new ways of sustaining must be devised... for everyone.

Welcome to my world. And in addition to that I also have people complaining about links and if they're altruistic enough for the community. It's a trip working here. screenshot

I do happen to agree that there should be a time lapse so that smaller developers can make some cash but we can't do it on everything because as you can imagine it just creates a lot more work. We would have to create a special timetable and keep up on when things are released, calculate how long we would wait, etc.

Also I agree "zero day" releases from small companies are a bit "uncool"

Give it a week a least. Or chance to sell a few copies. Maybe wait for a couple of pay days to pass. :)
