Dubstep ist such a big shit...Never heard any music style where songs are so identically. For me I'm not able to hear any difference..I sometimes think producers of this shit all use the same preset librarys for Massive and Sylenth.

Yes it's included

To the others lol every genre has it's root and mainstream part at some point of its evolution. That doesn't mean that it's crap, at the end it's about tastes and everybody can have one without disrespecting the others. I'm pretty sure that you'll probably find some tracks you'll enjoy inside the dubstep genre, you just need to go beyond the beatport chart.

Regarding why there's so many sub-genres now. My opinion is that it's a product of music democratization. With our having more and more access to music discovery tools and production, there's an emergence of producers that are not afraid to blend elements from various genres in opposition of the usual "we need to keep the genre pure" thing. It's because reggae/dub music met 2step and UK garage that we have now dubstep that is itself evolving in touch with rock, pop, and other genres. Theses experiments create undefinable music that tend to stabilize, find its autonomy and finally gain a wider audience and the need to have its own name.

Look at every genre's history you'll find that.

Aha i got you man there's some "robot having sex" kind of dubstep that irks too but you should check the dubstep made by Ramses B, Seven Lions, Mr Fijiwiji, MiTis, Kaori Breathe, Ghosts Of Paraguay, Phaeleh, L.A.O.S, Koan Sound, Culprate, Azedia or Culture Code. These guys make really great music and will definitely change the way you view Dubstep.

Ps: i host a radio show here in France which main goal is to play that type of bass music.
