From my point of view, using iPad for some time, it depends on your way of seeing "pro" sound.
Included sample based synths inside Sampletank, Cubasis , FL Studio mobile...all sound cheesy like a more than 10 years old product.
But Sunrizer, Alchemy mobile... sound killer.

Auria is a VERY serious product.If you don't need an armada of plugins, you get all basics inside it, with expansions.It contain PSP, Fabfilter and such plugins

To me, the BIG downside of mobile music making/mixing is...headphones !

I tried for years to mix with headphones and never really succeeded to finalize a song with them.
May be an external crossfeed amp, or better, a VRM box could help.
Some ppl use open cans like HD600.

When you use monitorings, you don't use Auria inside iPad to mix but a computer with a mouse and keyboard ;)

Until i find a very reliable headphone mix workflow, i will not mix and finalize inside iPad.
And i will never use crappy sample based synths included inside most softs.You will sound like a bad 80's prod.

But as live tool (Lemur, ToucOSC...), special interface (Thumbjam, Impaktor...) or kick/fast good synths sketchpad (Sunrizer inside Auria), MPC like workflow with good samples (iMPC inside Tabletop)...it is very good.

This is only my point of view, and don't want to start a war ;)
You need to find your way, but there are for sure invaluable tools.

I use an old iPad1 and can use most tools (apart few iOS6/iPad2 only)
I still advice ppl to buy at least iOS6/iPad2 second hand.
