Sampling and Slicing In Ableton Live
2010 | Nick's Tutorials | English | MOV | 1.72 GB

Creating music using audio sources such as vinyl and field-recordings requires a unique set of tools and working methods that is often very different from what is involved in producing other genres. Additionally, when you begin using Ableton Live for the first time, it's easy to become overwhelmed by the enormous amount of features and possibilities within the software. Therefore, my goal with this miniseries is to spare you countless hours of learning extraneous features, and instead focus on the tools and techniques you actually need to create sample-based music in Live. Further, this series will be an excellent guide for producers who are already familiar with hardware workstations (such as the MPC-series or MV8000) to transition their workflow into Ableton Live.

The course consists of 10 lessons in about 2 hours:
Video 1 - Introduction
Video 2 - Intro to Simpler and Drum Racks
Video 3 - Getting Audio into Live with the External Instrument Device
Video 4 - Finding and Cropping Breaks and the Clip View
Video 5 - Multi-Clip Playback Possibilities and Clip Envelopes
Video 6 - Slicing and More about Drum Racks
Video 7 - Slicing and Stacking Melodic Sounds
Video 8 - Creating Custom Drums with Layering
Video 9 - Resampling and Creating Drum Rack Presets
Video 10 - Wrapping Up

Format:
MOV (1 496kbps, 1024х768(4:3), 29.970fps)
