Remixing Techniques: Time Stretching screenshot
iNKiSO | July 2012 | 978 MB
In this course, author Josh Harris demonstrates time-stretching techniques in four of the major digital audio workstations: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reason, and Ableton Live. Josh covers the basic time-stretching treatments, where minimal tempo adjustment is needed, and then moves into more difficult territory—remixing at a much slower or faster tempo than what the original tracks were recorded at—where time stretching is pushed to the extreme. Another technique shows how to create a composite vocal from multiple time-stretched tracks. Each lesson employs real-world musical examples to clearly show where each time-stretching technique is useful and how the results of time stretching affect the sound of a song.

I use Logic Pro, but even I find it odd how he chose Reason instead of Cubase! Oh well, sounds interesting to watch anyway. yes

Dear Lord Gaga :)
it is doesn't make any change on which DAW your are working , Time stretching is the same..
the only things that is really changing it is how it sound's after you apply the time stretch .. E.I time stretch algorithm ...
Cubase had the best time stretch algorithm , but since they moved from SX version they have changed it slightly ....
I am using Pro Tools and Logic Pro they both have an impressive time stretch algorithm ...
tnx 4 sharing

Lord Gaga
I was waiting for a tuto like this, but I'm on Cubase... Shit !

Yes Lord Gaga I was reading a article in one of mags and they was saying cubase is the best for time stretching, mind you I've been using wavelab for years for stretching full tunes for mixing in the montage feature in wavelab

Now I'm not remotely interested in remixing songs but I found this one fascinating - hats off to Josh Harris
