A guy who teaches that the triad of the F chord is over the D note in the bass doesn't have my respect. When he says the F chord is over the D note, it was simply a Dm7, so there is no F there.

He shouldn't even be teaching like that. He confuses students and hinders their understanding of harmony, which isn't even that difficult a subject. When I see this Udemy stuff, I always suspect that amateurs are trying to make a buck.
