It's a testament to how great FCP7 was compared to its glitzy successor that so many have hung on to it, working on older rigs in 32-bit for this long, just to avoid this transition. Oh well, FCPX is certainly better than it was on its pathetic initial release, slowly restoring some of the many critical features they inexplicably ditched when they "redesigned" it for 64-bit platforms. It has a lot of third party plugin support now, but for my money I'll stick to Media Composer.
