An important point to mention.

All the work done to fill the simple rules of 'Figured Bass', since the barroque period until today, is the more important basis to understand 'the harmony of music', no one could go against until the German Doctor "Hugo Riemann" that developed the more STUDIP theory book ever written.

The proper 'Dr. Riemann' abandoned his project, he him self recognized the "Functional Harmony" was not to function. But, his error was write the first book and published it, over years many bests around the globe tried to learn that.

How it works, in the begging everything is possible withing small compositions, pop music of 3 minutes long. But, if he intended to reformulat a new way to understand Harmony, he should invent new terms, but not, he used the same old, old terms of Tonal Harmony, it was just a matter of time, for his Doctors and Professor friends in his Univertity in Germany to say, all it's wrong, you can't do that, works only on the basis, but, if you try to analise Beethoven, Chopin or Brahms, things will never work.

Voi-lá, he never wrote the second book that was announced to come on the first book. All the Great composer, Rock, Pop Music, Country, all the Styles derived of JAZZ, can be simply analised withing the unique harmony that have been working all this centuries, that is "TONAL HARMONY".

The most import book ever written for this, is from the author "ARNOLD SCHOENBERG".

If Riemann abandoned the studip project, don't be another stupid to try what had fall decades ago.
