the whole "collar" thing... :facepalm:

I remember when I first got into electronic music... it was Drum n Bass / Jungle... in 1999... and when you would flip through a Knowledge Magazine, it seemed obvious that the style of dress for producers was to wear a winter coat... and to zip-it-up all the way... so that your neck was completely covered, and the jacket came up around your chin... I had no idea what the practical ramifications where regarding that style of dress. Was it somehow much colder in the UK?.. compared to say... New York City?... I had no idea...

it was so funny though... me and my friend had just recently (within the last year) got our Technics SL-1200 MK3D's... and used to spin records on fridays and saturdays at his place... and sometimes, after it was my turn to spin, my buddy would leave the room (either to get a beer, take a piss, or roll a joint) and when he'd come back?.. I'd have my winter coat on, with it zipped-up all the way over my head... and he'd come in say, "Cool!.. you 'zipped-up'?".. and I'd be like, "You KNOW IT!!"... and we would just laugh...

ahhhhh... those were the days... hardly anyone had CDJ's, and you had to actually know how to sync and mix a record.
