    Good stuff, but the entire book is an old acquaintance of all orchestration students, nothing new, about tessitura, about the strings family, brass and so on, just a small part of the book shows some those big scores used in movies, but everybody knows that it is a collage of Stravisnky's and Ravel Scores as used by John Williams in "Star Wars".

    The same content we can see in old, but old books like Berlioz Orchestration Treatise, the good book of 'Samuel Adler', but nothing beats the amanzin and complete 'Walter Piston'

    About this 'Contemporary Orchestration' of of RJ Miller, amazing having it, he gives some good tips. But, another must having book is: "ESSENTIAL DICTIONARY OF ORCHESTRATION"
