What fascinates me most about music is that the nations that have contributed most to the world in an egalitarian way, where everyone participates, have also made significant contributions to music.
It’s interesting to note that the Baroque period flourished in these enlightened nations; it seems that some of the most brilliant minds emerged from theses places like France, Germany, and Scarlatti's & Vivaldi's Italy.

The most intriguing aspect is that there was no communication between them—no electric light, no industrial revolution, and not even sheet music could travel quickly enough to convey what was happening in another country, which took days to arrive.

The musical output from these three countries is remarkable in both quantity and quality. I only regret seeing Vivaldi's name often overlooked in internet searches.
