The first thing to understand about how music works is to eliminate the word "THEORY" from your vocabulary, as it should not be applied to music, which has never been a science, despite what the ancient Greeks believed. The journey to what music is today has been arduous and took centuries, ultimately evolving within the Catholic Churchs and shaping everything we use now, from counterpoint to harmony, including the succession of thirds until the 13th chord that Chopin employed in the early 19th century.

In any case, since there is no formal theory, it becomes easier to grasp the concepts that underpin music—just a handful of information needed to create various compositions. This is an empirical process that took a long time to develop and only advanced with the advent of the keyboard, which serves as just a tool for any intelligent musician before becoming what it is today.

I had several teachers at university and various music schools who were quite skilled, but whenever they saw me play, they would ask where I learned my craft or offer compliments. Interestingly, many classical musicians expressed a desire to understand popular music.

This brings me to another important lesson I learned:
"most musicians often struggle as teachers. Whether due to a lack of fulfillment in their own musical careers or insecurity, they resort to teaching for a few extra bucks, which can inadvertently harm their students."

Finding a good instructor is costly, and they are not easily found in most music schools, even at the university level."

Studying this book since it is converted online to PDF, is easy, prepare for it a whole year.

But, music in terms of playing an instrument, important tips, going on stage, playing with other musicians, no book brings that.
