tl;dr

Half of the magazine is comparing classic synths to the most common soft synth clones and listing other popular soft synths, with a few notable exceptions...

Half is dedicated to synth programming (briefly mentioning more than a few of the most popular soft synths), however the advice/tips is mostly on the basic level, with a few intermediate tips.

It would have been nice to have included the samples of the synth tutorials so you can know what sound was made before deciding to invest the time to recreate it.

Edit -their 'top 17 freeware' synth list is a bit naff, neglecting to mention the popular Vital and Surge XT.

Usually, there is a code in computer mag, that allows you to download the content from their website. No need to post it here, and no need for other sites like bookazs..

Anyone can freely get hold of the content for up to issue 315 without any codes, from filesilo (no need to unlock). Some of the specials (including this one) are available on there, too, under the bookazines section instead. But from issue 316, it's all on MusicRadar with a 3-question quiz.
