The Bloomsbury Handbook of Music Production screenshot
2020 | ISBN: 1501334026 | English | 432 pages | PDF | 3 MB
The Bloomsbury Handbook of Music Production provides a detailed overview of current research on the production of mono and stereo recorded music. The handbook consists of 33 chapters, each written by leaders in the field of music production. Examining the technologies and places of music production as well the broad range of practices – organization, recording, desktop production, post-production and distribution – this edited collection looks at production as it has developed around the world. In addition, rather than isolating issues such as gender, race and sexuality in separate chapters, these points are threaded throughout the entire text.

Thanks Sunny, this is a great book. A Superb addition to my digital library.

Just a few notes: the book has 26 chapters, the one with 33 was the non-edited one.

It has a very interesting first part (consisting in parts 1 to 3) that talks historically on the process of recording combined with the part of the technology involved in that process, wich I personally consider of huge importance.

Finally, I recommend (for anyone who cares about the book) read the book slowly and listen critically EVERY one of the recorded albums that the book lists in every chapter. That is an amazing exercise wich helped me a lot in terms of positioning myself in the spectrum of "what sound do I want to sound myself"...

Anyway, it's just my opinion.

Again: THANKS SUNNY.
