Who Was Michael Jackson (Who Was…) by Megan Stine and Joseph J. M. Qiu screenshot
2015 | English | ISBN: 0448484102 | 112 pages | EPUB | 25.7 MB
Born in Gary, Indiana, on August 29, 1958, Michael Jackson was definitely not a regular kid. A superstar with The Jackson 5 before he was eight years old, he became the King of Pop as a solo artist. Michael was a creative–yet deeply troubled–genius who always remained devoted to his art right up until his death is 2009 before a much anticipated tour. He had a pitch-perfect voice and footwork that his idol Fred Astaire admired. Who will ever forget the Moonwalk? Kids today who only know Jackson through video performances are nevertheless fascinated by him. Megan Stine provides a sensitive, fair-minded depiction of this unique music legend.

Perhaps even he knew who he was. "Know yourself (Soc)."

By the way, Moonwalk was not Jackson's own creation.
He only popularized something that became his trademark, something that in the art world is disappointing when your biggest brand is not yours.

This is the case of 'Dave Brubeck' and 'Take Five' belonging to 'Paul Desmond'.
This is the case of 'Duke Ellington' and 'Take the A train "whose music and all the original arrangement was made by ' Billy Strayhorn'.

Same is the case of the Polish 'F. F Chopin' and his Nocturnes, which are the fabulous creation of the Irish 'John Field' from the fascinating Ireland country that apparently will separate from England and independently join the EU.

Last month (May 2016), almost 'Plant and Page' from Led Zeppelin, lose their "Stairway to Heaven" to "Taurus" to an unknown rock band to the general public called 'Spirit'

hey man how do you know all that stuff about Chopin and Ellington and .. Jackson.
Any sources? (curious about Chopin in particular)

I mean i have to say about that moonwalk thing- i dont think he ever claimed to have invented it. and neither did he do anything else as do/perform it. and he did it on a muuch bigger stage than anyone else Hahaha so of course they all thought he invented it, since they first saw him doing it

Well, long years in many Academies of Music and UNI, not to mention the many books I read, one of them to mention: History of Jazz by Eric Hobsbawn and some other courses on Jazz and History I did.
But, I perceived that literature is one thing that people around the world don't like so much, reading took a lot of time, specially in tropical countries, when they have a beach out there and the sunshine everyday, maybe, is it because every country having snow all the years, get more Nobel Prices, because people read more during months of winter, remerber that decades ago, there was no TV sets, what contributed more for any intellect. Today with games, tablets, I-trashes, people will go down so fast, that we will perhaps have one century delay.

Once a time, people have to imagine about how to copy or be influenced by other far countries, this way they invented a new music, such as Mozart did, he knew anything about the Italian music, that he admired a lot, but to hide his influences about Italy, he spoke very badly of their music, in one of his letters, he advise her sister not to play the Italian Clementi, who could damage her hands, today we call privileged information or insider, depending on where your are, you could go to the jail using this privileged info. Today, we have access to all the culture in the speed of light, is it because, all countries do the same boring music.

In Chopin letters you can find many things about him, but, read his last Biographies.
