Well, I hope a good book on version 8 will be released soon. It is said to be so much easier to use and it is supposed to have a much, much better sequencer. You can probably best compare pro tools version 8 with the upgrade of Reason from version 3 to version 4 which was also quite dramatic.

Pro tools its really around peoples thought when it comes to record a session etc.., try to talk about Nuendo or other DAWs , normally you won�t be taken much seriously , looks like what happened with Cakewalk/Sonar before .Was like there was just that , `the` one , although we still need to learn about PT . It�s the Microsoft of sequencers lol

Anyway, Luvchaser suffers from the same Syndrome that most computer users suffer from: Once bitten twice shy. It doesn't matter how much and how well a company has improved its software, Luvchaser had a bad experience a long, long time ago and so no matter how great a product is todayy, to him it will always be a piece of shit.

By the way, I noticed that 999333999 uploaded this Pro Tools book a while ago. I didn't notice that when I posted this version. This version is much better than the other one as it has clickable chapters/subchapters and an extensive bookmark index.

hi Caithleann , I m using a friend s computer , no apostrophes now lol , anyway , Cakewalk got less flexible than other DAWs , the quality of the mixdown stayed behind ( I ve tried the Mic Modeler on Nuendo , you can tell the difference -hey I m not getting payed to say that winked ), and the just direct X thing , well , it s better to be able to try and choose >>>>still no apostrophes ......ok just one ` cheers
