He must have good ideas, I'm not even going to try, because I won't understand a word.

Traditional harmony, as we know it, has stood the test of time, proving itself as the most accessible and effective approach. Arnold Schoenberg, in his renowned work published in Los Angeles, likened mastering harmony to crafting a simple straw basket—an art accessible to anyone, not just intellectuals.

However, we must acknowledge the modern contributions to music theory that have enhanced our understanding of harmony. Notable among these are the Americans Stefan Kostka and Dorothy Payne, authors of 'Tonal Harmony', who introduced innovative visual aids for chord identification, like, the use a small ball to the diminished chord and a small cutted ball for the half-diminished chord ('Cdim' to 'C°' and 'm7(b5)' to 'Cø'). Despite their advancements, these methods are not universally embraced.
Kostika also contributed to something that at first seemed absurd, "smaller Roman numerals III to iii" (not three letter i), or "V to v", or else; 'I' for the major chord and 'i' for the minor chord.

Had it not been for the insights of Jean Philippe Rameau, a French composer, who recognized that chord inversions retained their essential character, music theory might have evolved into a convoluted system of arbitrary rules and terminology.

Regrettably, John Mehegan, a music educator at the Juilliard School in New York, failed to gain widespread recognition for his efforts to simplify chord theory (He's the guy). Some other mental deficit human to facilitate the study of his students, used alphabetical chord notations (A to G), intended to aid students post-war, sometimes hindered their understanding of chord functions, leading to rote memorization rather than true comprehension of the harmony.

In the realm of jazz, traditional harmony is augmented with the incorporation of extended chords like the 9th and 13th, often with alterations, enhancing the V chord and others. These innovations were not new, having been explored by composers like Chopin and the Russian Scriabin in the past century, and later influencing American icons like 'Edward Kennedy Ellington' known later as 'Duke Elligton', who drew inspiration from the French masters Debussy and Ravel.

"By the way, I also use figured chords with letters, but I know all their functions".

In conclusion, it's evident that certain individuals living in the middle of nowhere, either sought attention through controversial methods or lacked a solid musical foundation when attempting to leave their mark on music history. Or even they just want clicks no Ut to make some money.
We owe a debt of gratitude to those musicians who have upheld and enriched the timeless principles of harmony throughout music history, including:

Rameau
Paul Hindemith
Arnold Schoenberg
Stefan Kostka
Dorothy Payne
Hugo Riemann,
who, in retrospect, reevaluated his methods.
