This is ripped from the DVD as originally sold by the now defunct "Museum of Synthesizer Technology" in the UK.
The museum only existed for a few years (1994 - 1997/) and was, at the time, the largest collection of analogue synthesizers in the world.
To be honest, the production quality of this doco is very amateur. Nonetheless it contains plenty of interesting (if nerdy) footage & facts about vintage analogue synths and some great interview footage of Dr Bob Moog (RIP) - amongst others.
It looks very much like the museum transferred to DVD from their own retail VHS as the intro to both parts has OSD overlays from a DVD recorder and the video quality is very definitely sub-VHS.
The encoding is purposefully kept at high quality in order to prevent further degeneration of what is already poor quality. These files are large on purpose - consider this an archival project!
