Small bug with the Patch-IO :
(win7 - x64)
the patch gui layout is offset ...
the checkbox (bottom left) has no text, what is it for ?

I've installed and patched this successfully but can't get it to launch... keeps bombing out after scanning my VSTs and then saying "Initializing ..."... then crash! Any ideas guys?

if you installed over the old installation location :
(i had this issue with legit live 9.5 Lite )
i had to reinstall in a new folder ... and nothing was lost .
but not shure if it applies to your case.

Also i see (in your old comments) you had the same issue with "Ableton Live Suite 9.2.2 x86/x64"

hey guys i want to install the 64 bit along the 32 version. the "smart" patch targets automatically the installation that is in C:\.....\Live 9 Suite therefore i get only the proper .auz file for either one version. and ideas to feed the "super smart" patch another directory? thank youu <3 <3 <3

Okay maautula here is your solution. The patcher use the default paths, you know that. rename your old 32bit Ableton folder (example) in "Live 9 Suite old". Now, rename the new 64 bit Ableton folder in default "Live 9 Suite". Now use the patcher and he works on your 64bit Ableton. The patcher wants the default path!!! Now you can rename your folder or start your version from the path where installed you ableton 32/64bit. hope my english you can understand.

Reading thru this site and another famous audio dl site I'm wondering why people never questioned the io patch.

I have been using patched ableton for a few years and have never noticed any problems from it on my system but with a new installation of an OS I started looking into this patch file more, and this is what I have found.

Look at "Suspicious Indicators" at this page which analyzes the io patch exe.

The patch file drops executable files dup2patcher.dll and bassmod.dll

Take a look at an analysis of dup2patcher.dll

Although not exactly the same file as the SHA-256 hash is different from the dup2patcher.dll produced by the ableton io patcher currently in use, it makes me wonder if its possible that it drops a bitcoin miner into our computers and since it doesnt totally hijack our computers or slow it down significantly everyone reports as having no problems with it.

btw, this dUP patcher is a not a bitcoin miner. and the bass.dll is for the music.

im thinking its entirely possible that antivirus systems have very valid concerns about security.

how do u know dup2patcher is not a bitcoin miner, then what is its function?
and how do you know bassmod.dll is for the music? just because it says bass?

on windows 10, my winrar/7-zip keeps tellin my the patch is corrupt and wont extract it, any help is very much appreciated. have tryed DLing just the patch, same problem
