Dope VST Bass Engine 1.1 Win X64 X86 VST (MATRiX) screenshot
Bass Machine | AudioZ + Team MATRiX | 1.07GB
In our experience there are generally two types of bass synth, the 30Gb monsters that have twelve velocity layers on each note, multiple round robins and an unlimited number of options or the contemporary plug-ins that are aimed at electronic producers who love the real low end bass and 808 sound. Bass Engine is the brand new alternative…

Three Decades of Hip Hop Bass

With Bass Engine we have studied the last three decades of Hip Hop production and have the selected the most representative bass sounds of that era. These basses include everything from dusty jazzy upright bass to floor shaking 808’s and everything in between.
1990’s

The 1990’s were the golden era of Hip Hop, common production techniques involved the heavy use of sampling with machines such as the MPC 60 MKII or the SP-1200. Bass lines where usually made with bass notes and lines sampled from old Funk, Soul and RnB 12” vinyl records.

The first 100 presets in Bass Engine represent this unique sound so be prepared for crackly upright basses, deep Moog tones, live electric samples and abstract jazzy bass sounds.
2000’s

During the 2000’s Production techniques changed slightly with more and more producers using hardware bass synths to achieve a nice deep and punchy sound. The Emu Mo’ Phatt was a popular rack module among some while the ASR-10 and MPC 3000 samplers were still heavily used by the traditional cratediggers.

The second 100 presets in Bass Engine represent this smoother sound so you will discover deep dirty basses, solid sub’s, fat Triton patches and clean vinyl cuts.
2010’s

The 2010’s have been dominated by the synth, sub-bass and 808 sound. Whether its Hip Hop, Trap, Dubstep or even Reggae. These highly produced yet deep β€˜n’ dirty bass sounds have been devastating clubs and festivals throughout the world.

The final 100 presets include fifteen different 808’s, Moog Prodigy Subs, Warm MS-20 deep vibes and a whole collection of low end, heavy basses.

Anyone find this rls funny, the author of the plugin used an AKAI CD and made this synth out of Maize Sampler Player

It is VERY clear that it is a maizesoft vst. That doesn't take from the fact that many people will find it useful for its basses, largely because the sampled sounds fit well with the vibe of hiphop which includes a large amount of sampling.

But very clearly not a synth. The author doesn't make any claims that it is, anyways. He just calls it a "bass plugin". Very apt.

Yes, very obvious that it is a maizesoft rompler, however, I'd like to know where the commenter is drawing his knowledge from that it was from an AKAI CD. I'm curious because it is very plausible given the shady rep a lot of sample library authors and plugin devs have.

This is not so non-sense
Sample based, and of course, no one ever sampled all those presets by hand.
So, yes, they of course come from another source.
Like all SSO/industryKits releases and more.

Just a repack, with a GUI. So what were the sources ? We don't know.
May be not AKAI...but Maschine or anything like this

This is like when someone release a 100+ drum machines samples...you REALLY think they got all of them and sampled them one by one ?

Exactly, whats with the hype?

You guys do realize this is just a Maize (do it yourself) Sampler? Same as their 'Beat Machine'

Loaded up with samples from somewhere else..

They even took their site banner from Google images.. lol

Try Trilian if you want some real BASS.

So because it wasnt coded by hand in C++ and wasnt put out by one of the big companies its automatically bad?

If you make Hip Hop you will know how dope this plug-in is. The dev doesn't claim that this is better than trillian etc, its an alternative so that people like me who make real dusty old school hip hop dont have to mess about with 30Gb worth of install to use.

You do realise that DJ Mag gave it 8/10 and Music Tech gave it a 9/10...

Man, out of everyone on this site, you are so snobbish its almost laughable...

Why, cos I have my opinion and you have yours? Makes me a snob? lol cmon.

Just 'cos someone else rated it well, I'm entitled to my rate \ say also.

I never said it was bad. I said Trilian was better..it is.. sooo whats the problem?

Just want people to realize what this is, and is not... simple.

Seems to me that's the main reason for the comments section eh?

By the way, the UI on their Beat machine looks like a direct ripoff of Theskinfactory's Alienware skin, and the banner (record shelf) on their site was lifted directly off of Google Images, I know, cos Ive used it before in a personal composition.. sooo maybe if they are copying and using others imagery, perhaps the sounds are exactly original either..hmmm

Maybe the guys at 'DJmag' aren't hip to the things I am ?

MY opinion... thats all.

Relax, no need for insults is there?

I rate it 5 :)

Whatever man, you first post was pure negative no matter how you try and style it out now bro...

"whats with the hype?"
"You guys do realize this is just a Maize (do it yourself) Sampler?"
"Loaded up with samples from somewhere else"
"They even took their site banner from Google images.. lol"

Classic passive aggressive behavior dude...

anyway, dont you do the skins for StudiolinkedVST who use Maize to make a few of there products?

Dont remember you complaining about it then...

Yep.. purely business, Maize isnt any better on their stuff, but, at least they pay for an ORIGINAL UI

I pride myself on being original, professional in my work, I truly bust my ass , work long ass hours to put out THE best I can... so..when I see what I feel is a cheap ripoff being hyped, sure I might speak up about it.

You wanna debate that, I'm up for it.. just no need to sling names is all.

I respect your opinion, respect mine.

Cheers :)

@remix I remember you complaining about Music Weapons "Sound Arsenal" though because it wasn't multisampled. And if you are into "dusty, old school Hip Hop' then you certainly understand how needless multisampled instruments are. But yet there you were being 100% negative. Maybe you're a shill for Dope VST?

Hey let's slow this down. You either like it or you don't. I feel its a good product regardless. Really at the end of the day the only opinion that matters is your own.

First of all Thanks to BDrake and to Saint

When people go with sterile fight, we complain and say "Hopefully, somebody speak about the post".
Now Someone give his opinion that is a bit more than "thanks" and he/she receive a rain of stings...
What if this user really don't like the vst? He can do only negative critic, why not?

Hey man ,will the X32 version ever make it here ?
I'm still gratefull for the X64 ,but if I had the X32 ,I think I could sample the vst and make Kontakt patches using the Extreme sample converter.
I'm sure some members would be interested in patches for Kontakt...

Yeah man, read the post for updates. It says that x86 has been added at the bottom and there's links for either format.

Oh ,I understand. My bad. I'll download it and I'll give it a shot. If it works ,I'll upload this as Kontakt patches.
