thank you! I was also hesitant but that does seem to be exactly the trade-off.

I've only tested the FX so far butas well as banks vs performance, the VR release is much smaller size wise. The R2R FX bundle is 3.7GB while the VR was just over 2GB. I wonder if this is because of the reduced picture size in VR's? They use a LOT of very big PNG's for some reason.

Great work R2R
Not gonna lie I believe VRs latest release has more banks (added Extra Banks) like Daft Punk Tribute, Depeche Mode tribute and so on, lots of extra banks for miniMoog V so I stick with VRs for now

In this R2R release, the Analog Lab is it loading faster than the latest V.R. release ???

YES. But the trade-off is that you don't get extra preset banks.

@VincentCool Someone posted this on the other site and it works great for me (win10) and it works moving any software to an external. It sets up the symbolic links for you. UltimatePluginTool

quote by chelococould we copy V.R presets and paste it on the new R2R Installation presets folder?

Doesn't work for me, so I reinstalled Arturia.Analog.Lab.V.v5.3.0.CE on top et voila : all the expansions are back !

WOW !! thanks. Now all Banks again.!

-uninstall all Moira and CE versions.
-install the new R2R (V and FX)
-install the Arturia Analog Lab V v5.3.0 CE Rev2-V.R
-now you have to use the analog lab from CE, but now with all presets for all synths!

Wow!! Obviously the expansions are back as you just over writ it with the V.R version.
  Member 21.07.2020 104

No? Everything but Analog lab is still R2R, but with the extra presets, so best of both worlds for someone who would rather use the synths themselves than analog lab.

The synths with the V.R collection they worked fine.
The main problem with V.R was that Analog Labs was really slow. So overwriting it with V.R isn't the best of both worlds.
You can probably find the banks on here and install separately which would be a better solution if the banks are that important to you.
Search on here using the term
Arturia Unlocked.

When I checked the synths in the R2R release against the ones in the VR release, the R2R's do load faster, it's not an issue with just analog labs, even the keyboards/piano's load significantly faster with the new R2R version, such as Piano V2, and it's not a small difference either.

If you're simply wishing to have the faster R2R version with the presets VR includes, jean/zuk's method is the way to go.

Only if you are lazy and don't want to install presets separately and have a slower version of Analog Labs.
There are probably more presets on here then are included with the V.R version.
"If you're simply wishing to have the faster R2R version" Install R2R and the presets separately.

Can someone please make banks from VR release to work with R2R? :(
  Member 21.07.2020 104

You can install the "Arturia Analog Lab V v5.3.0 CE Rev2-V.R" release on top of this one, and all the banks should show back up.

Genius!!
Overwrite R2R with a slow V.R version just so you get a few banks that you can download off here separately. Great plan! Obviously!
V.R doesn't even come with that many banks. It is just as easy to download them off here separately and have a complete faster working R2R version then this nonsense your spreading.

It wasn’t my idea in the first place, but it IS the most straight forward way to maintain continuity if you previously had the VR version and don’t want to lose their banks in the transition, especially if you don’t use analog labs (why would you if you have access to all the synths and keyboards? It’s a stripped down taster pack, no?) .
No one ever said VR have “that many banks”, the point isn’t to have as many banks as possible. You’re stuck in your own perspective and because of that, totally missing the point (notice the question they asked? it wasn’t ‘how can I get more/most banks?’ hint hint).
If you have another method, more power to you, but insisting your method is “”obviously”” the only valid one is an attitude that’s not going to get you anywhere. Let your argument speak for itself, and leave the pettiness on the playground, it only weakens your point.

Obviously! You missed the point in that comment. It doesn't have that many banks means it won't take long to find and install them. Priorities! The time it took you to comment on here you could have installed them. But if your priority is to try and white knight because you didn't like a comment just to have slower buggy software just for a few preset banks like a lazy moronic idiot then go ahead. Obviously my method isn't the only way but it is the better way if you want Analog Labs working properly.
You are the one stuck in your own perspective. I read the comment before you edited it. Obviously. You are "that guy" who just wants to make up any bullshit reason to try prove your point. "I only use the synths" blah blah.
Like your comment before you edited it that "Analog Labs is lazy and you'd rather have the synth " that just shows how lazy and moronic you are. Lazier then a preset? Lol. And by the way synth presets are fully editable in Analog Labs.
Arturia Presets - Daft Tribute UNLOCKED bank is 1MB to download. How lazy are you?

Unfortunately searching, DLing and installing these banks separately would take forever. I'm testing right now the longer path: R2R, then VR for the banks, R2R again. I also delete db3.db3 file from Presets in ProgramData. I'll let you know if this works. :)

EDIT: It's the banks size... 30 sec for me from a NVMe SSD to load ALab5. When db3.db3 was deleted (so no banks in the instrument memory) it loads instantly in 1 sec. But I'm still on the R2R version.
