I mostly use RX for musical sound design-- not to restore or surgically isolate-- and I think most of the suite is very useful for these purposes. I especially love the spectral denoiser. Many interesting transformations with such little programming... It's become one of the earlier creative FX I reach for. The output varies widely depending on what you feed it. Richer sounds typically work better just because there's more material to sculpt with.

I usually un-link the threshold and reduction parameters to get separate controls for the tonal and noise components. You can make some profound transformations here just by altering the spectral compressor settings. It can sing, ring out, or sound artificially clean, or it can hybridize into a noisier bit of melodic percussion. I probably use the "output noise only" setting as often as the default. Feed it different learning profiles, endless fun and variation... The advanced settings allow much subtler changes.

And when used on more common sounds or instruments, you can quickly get yourself into uncanny valley territory, which is just delicious to my ears. Subtle tweaks can go far.

As you can see, I love this plugin-- not to mention the rest of the suite! Thank you again. Well done!

PS. RX 6 and 7 appear to take the same amount of system resources. Not widely tested yet.. Anyone else?

Do you have a custom VST folder?
If yes, you need to copy the VST dlls from their default location "C:\Program Files\Steinberg" to your custom VST folder.

Yes i use a custom vst folder.
Already placed the patches from Izotope RX Post Production Suite 3\Patches\x64 so it does not make sense to replace the patches with the ones from C:\Program Files\Steinberg as they are not cracked....

I cant extract files. Smgdh

ProdbyMarveL, What happens when you try to extract the files? Is there a message that comes up? What program are you using to extract them? There is a password lock on the archive, as mentioned by Olymoon: "Pass is written in peeplink, please read carefully." , in the original post.
If you are copying and pasting the password before you attempt to unrar them, you have to make SURE that not even one single space is accidentally copied, because this empty space will be seen as part of a wrong password, and it will throw up a 'wrong password' dialog. I used to have to copy the password, and paste it into a .txt file, with a large font, and then copy from the text file, when I had a neurological condition that made it hard to EXACTLY copy a password. Or, you can just type the password into the 'password' dialog.
I know, I'm making an assumption that it is a password problem. If it isn't, then one of the files got corrupted while downloading, and you can test each file by left-clicking on each one. They should individually open and show you the contents. If one won't do that, then THAT is the problem file you should re-download, and just over-write the original corrupted file. I hope this has helped you.

Thank you so much, Mono, for the up, and Olymoon, for the zippyshare links. Fast as greased lightening. This must have taken a lot of time and work, and I thank whoever did it - much love. These are great toys. Thank you, also, to all those who have helped other users with good advice. Once again, this community has risen to the challenge of helping each other. Izotope is working on next-level ways to do what it does.

Does anyone have problems with AAX's cpu load? Opened RX Connect using 33% of my cpu. When I turn it off - cpu load drops to 1%. The same with all RX AAX's. At the same time Insight or Neutron using 4-5% of cpu.

This might go unnoticed by the masses but...
Just recently installed this with the AAX fix patches and they do not work. Every time I go to launch one of the tools (Tonal balance or such) a iLok activation pop up appears. The VSTs work fine but I was looking at getting this working in PT. If anyone out there got this working in PT, please share how you got it working please.

Thank you
