U can try going to Sys>Settings & change FPS from eco to mid/high? That might make things more responsive. But will have a hit, overall.

Main problem w/ gui is how awful it is - complete squinterface; tiny txt, all buttons same size, nested shit everywhere. Ugh!

guys, just my humble opinion, but, Avenger...
... is officially THE disappointment OF 2010-2018

with its insane-unlimited specs, i was expecting Avenger to be no more no less THAN the next big thing for the next 2-3 years to come, especially in anything EDM related.
but no.

after the first hours of 'wow, the interface looks amazing', many issues start to really bother me, as (just a few examples..):

- presets volume were saved tooo loud, +3, +6, even +12 dbs(a shame, when these presets were made by paid experienced sound designers)
- changing parameters, like disabling stuff and macros in matrix give some pops, clics
- no way to import files into the sound database
- factory presets are poorly done, really uninspiring stuff, compared to a omnisphere or arturia V, even a freeware can sound better
- presets take over 1 second to load, via an annoying double click, on a fast ssd computer, whether it is a simple 1 oscillator or sample based. by 2017, there should be a way for these virtual instruments to preload/precache in buffer/memory the 3 previous and 3 next sounds, for a fast 1ms preset load/change
- 'acoustic' sounds are a joke. really. for sure, armin von buuren is going to create 5 amazing trance tracks, with those trombone/double bass presets
- everything feels so heavy
-the presets-info area, which takes 1/3 of the whole gui could have been used to display many important stuff-> once you have loaded a particular preset, do you still need the info/tags area open ? no
- even the old sylenth has millions of inspiring presets, made with only a few tweaks and buttons
- what, no multi parts ? is it a joke, in 2018? i've found a piano sound, now, i want to load a pad, and a string sound, for some cool layering. or layer 3 lead sounds and multi-detune them. impossible
- very few options to tweak the oscillators-> Z3ta2 has at least 20 parameters to transform the osc..
- and many many other things i didn't like

of course, there are some great ideas, like the audio routings, effects... but SOUND WISE...oh man, the factory presets are just awful. ex, fxpansion Strobe 2... each preset, you want to play it for 10 minutes... soo good

in Avenger... you will ask yourself, how could they not make much better sounding presets ?

many will say 'oh, you have to create your own presets'... sorry, but, if 900 sounds made by top sound designers , during several months, DON'T sound good at all,
it's not the average joe that is going to create the next huge patch...

it is well known, when a vsti is good, there are thousands of guys making presets for it: massive, sylenth, and now serum, are good examples.
Avenger is out for almost 1 year, and there are almost no commercial soundbanks for it. that should mean something. ok, it hadn't been cracked before.. but still...

Mate, your opinion is not humble, is deeply flawed.

For some stuff you have to read the user manual which you clearly didn't. For other stuff you're contradicting yourself aka weak presets but good enough for Armin van Buuren - that is unless you consider AvB crap then why the hell would you download this synth (clearly aimed at dance music producers) anyway????

Many factory presets are sounds actually used in tracks that were played in the clubs allover the world - find such sounds in Omnisphere or Arturias... If that's crap in your opinion, this synth is definitely not for you.

I know that you can play a preset for 10 minutes in other synths but what happens when you have to integrate it in a song? You cut the scheise out of it so it'll fit properly.

And multi-parts? Mate you're bloody ignorant: This is a 8-OSCILLATOR instrument not a MULTILAYER one. It is not Omnisphere. There are 4-osc presets out there. And then 6-osc presets out there. What you would expect? While a 4-osc preset is loaded, all 5-6-7-8-osc presets to be greyed out only to be able to load another preset in the remaining oscs?? What about FX routing, arp settings, filter when trying to load multiple presets??? No wonder you only use presets - you have not the smallest idea what sound design is.

And the browser always on thing? Laughable :)) Mate, for guys like you that window should span the entire interface of avenger, not only on the left side :))

of course, if i am german, i will buy 3 copies of avenger, so i can feel 3 times better, and manuel schleis is officially the new Jesus. and avenger, obviously, is the Vsti of the century 2000-2100.

but I'm not german :) sorry.


it is funny, with all his arguments, he fails to explain the AZ community why, if Avenger is the top edm vsti everybody is buying and using, where are ALL the sounbanks top/amateur sound designers have made and sold, since december 2016...?

and a last thing, i don't know if he runs avenger on a nasa supercomputer, but, over 5 gigahertz of processing power needed during over 1 second, just to load a preset, for me, it is a bit too much.

Well it's interesting what you say about cpu usage, what computer do you have?
I'm using an old first generation i7 and I got between 1 to 5% usage depending on the presets.
