if there`s not more needed than presets and dll,
couldn`t it be enough to extract datas from the exe ?

Things are really beginning to look up. Power is swinging back to the people. Team VR are Russian and been around a while and put out great stuff. They aint part of that Crew that have dissapeared up each other's lower regions looking for internal releases. All hail VR, Pitchshifter, Platensesoul, Chaos, Tape and Toad and all the guys stepping into the breach. Power to the People

does this lack presets from previous versions? I think there was more, wasn't it? can anyone upload all the presets?

whoahh! I always used this on drums and the master bus. very useful plugin. good to see an update. VR for the win.

I am not privy to what has happened with R2R and others not releasing to the general public, but it is good to see software, not just sample libraries on AudioZ. Thanks to people like Chaos, HexWars, and VR for treating us.

PS: No dissing R2R here. They really treated us well for many years, and I can understand their frustration with people. Those who serve other will eventually get jaded by the "gimme, gimme more" mentality of people. Sad.

This has been my goto compressor for that extra "glue" on almost anything since I tried the 1.2.8 version.

Thanks TONS to Team V.R. and Horseman for this awesome update to one of my favorite plugins. I will buy this as soon as I am able to afford it.

Wurlie Rocker ; If you copy the preset folder found (in my system may be a bit different in yours) C:/user/username/Application Data/Cytomic/The Glue to your desktop before you install this wonderful update if it writes over them you can copy them back in and they work perfectly

Also I found that if I moved the older version DLL into a sub folder in my VST folder (I use VSTPlugins/Effects/Dynamics/Compressors/Cytomic ) or create one for the new version and moved that there instead you can keep both versions working perfectly as well (at least it works on W 10 Pro 64bit, aI am pretty sure it should work on other OS's as I did have two versions when I was on Win 7 Pro.)

If anyone cares why I did this , it is because I do have some older projects that I have mixed and finished using the 1.2.9 or 1.2.8 versions of the plugin and though I understand the newer version would likely be better I want to keep them as they are for now as I really like the way they sound now ( I have render them but also have the original tracks and data archived for them) and do not want to risk messing with them :)

However, for all of you FL Studio users out there, whenever you open The Glue does it open up in very large size (like 1/3 of the entire screen size)? This is the situation for me and can be quite frustrating if I am trying to focus on my project. I've resized it but it won't start up the same way (to a smaller size) after I reopen it. Does anyone know a way to make The Glue smaller when it is opened? Kind of a silly question, but I can always learn.

click on the up right (3lines button, settings) of the plugin. from the menu choose view size 75% or whatever suits you, and then on the same menu click save settings as default.

This actually has become one of my most used go-to compressor for so many different situations. One of the best compressors ive heard/used. Probably also one of the closest if not the best hardware modeled SSL compressor plugin. So unbelievably transparent. Thank you for this!

This install is in Russian and confused me a bit

If anyone is trying to find the vst install location mine could be found in Program files>VST pugin>Dynamics folder

I heard it could also be found in steinberg folder as well

Ok, I don't know how he did it but this compressor is simply awesome!
I've used it before and then bought UAD plugins. On my master bus, The Glue was replaced by UAD 4k buss compressor or SSL G. Sure, they are probably best emulations of the original hardware, but...!
I just opened older project and compared all three. The Glue sounds just right. Round bass, somewhat wider stereo image and all tracks just sit right.
I think I'm gonna go back and start using it on master.
