    No, they're punishing the developer for implementing a crappy copy protection. The fact that the plugin is redundant is immaterial. The statement is: don't think that just because we're in the background that you're safe to screw the customer.

    Every time I see someone assigning petty/spiteful motives to their actions like this I cringe. Just reinforcing their belief that the public is not worth sharing with.
