The Strip is the essential channel strip: the finest EQ, gate and compressor bundled in one beautifully designed plugin. Just slam this baby onto every channel in your project (which you easily can, because of its low CPU usage) and you're all set.

- Low- and Highpass filter
- four peaking filters
- Low shelf filter
- gate with variable threshold, range, attack and release to prevent unwanted noise
- smooth compressor section
- 2x oversampling available
- EQ section with just the nicest little bit of saturation
- order of EQ and compression interchangeable
- available in VST, AU, RTAS and AAX format, 32 and 64 bit, for Windows and OSX (10.6 and higher)

This thing is great on vocals. As far as the compressor.. the meter is just fine, and you can see that as long as you're getting gain reduction. As far as the CPU hit.. I get 2% per instance.. I loaded 16 just as a standard track count and by that time it fluctuated around 30%. The CPU hit will vary obviously depending on what you've got under the hood. I recommend those who have read some of the previous comments to go ahead and give this thing a try before ruling it out.

This looks very interesting. I've been wanting to give one of these "strip" plugins a go for a while. Thanks R2R and Sunny. You are the best.

I've been reading up on the CS-STRIP 87 from the Eareckon Analog 87 series. I'll have to check this one out as well. Very inexpensive plugins from both companies which is great. Thanks for the upload!

That's a great channel strip for you right there! I put it on a Drumbus and it made the drums coming out real punchy and warm. Don't be scared to turn the knobs a lot – it doesn't sound annoyingly harsh at any point. Play around with the input and the threshold too, to make the comp work – it is not as nice as the EQ section, but I think the Comp on the SSL Channel sucks too, so… The input overdrives and satures the signal nicely giving it some more grit.

Today I had an excursion to a Tap notch Mastering Facility. I played the track to the Engineer on his insanly expensive Lipinski System and he hadn't to do so much on the track except clearing out the sub and opening the highs.

So This is definitely going on my "to buy" list!

I recently discover this amazing channel strip, and is awesome! really impressed with the quality and color.

The EQ section are soft and effective, compressor are excellent, and filters make a great work, with acoustic instruments the gate has a good job.

I'm very frustrated with the overpriced Plugin Alliance SSL 4000 models, that sound metallic, so aggressive and very cold, not musical.

Anybody know latest version from The Strip? I'm looking in the DDMF site but no info.

Thanks!
