Waldorf PPG Wave 3 V v1.04-R2R screenshot
TEAM R2R 2014.07.08 | 65.88 MB
The PPG Wave 3.V Upgrade is for users who already own PPG Wave 2.V and want to upgrade to PPG Wave 3.V. Owners of all versions of PPG Wave 2.V, including the Waldorf Edition, are eligible for this upgrade. Simultaneous purchase of both Waldorf Edition and this upgrade is also possible.

Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V is the reincarnation of the legendary PPG Wave Synthesizer, which no doubt is considered one of the most respected high-end synthesizers of the 80s. Developed by Wolfgang Palm, this instrument is featured on countless records, and it inspired a whole generation of producers, composers and listeners. While back then it was your choice to spent your money either for a vehicle or the PPG, the new PPG Wave 3.V renders this breathtaking sonic character very affordable, comfortably to use for every VST or AU Host. During the development of the PPG Wave 3.V, we gladly received extensive advice from Wolfgang Palm himself to ensure that the PPG Wave 3.V becomes a worthy successor of this adorable jewel of the art of German engineering.

Unleash the massive sound potential with the charm of the "good old digital days" with this unique instrument, and bring back the pure joy and individuality of 80s synthesis with the PPG Wave 3.V!!

I had a little trouble getting this working but I think it may have been due to not installing with Admin rights. I changed the permissions and now it's no longer crashing when opening.

That it doesn't work for you don't necessarily mean that is wrong !!!

Simply take a look at the following image :

http://i.imgur.com/MfCFbod.jpg

Even if it's within 'Reaper' rather than within 'Cubase', you can clearly see that it works !
At this moment, unfortunately I don't have 'Cubase' installed within my system, but I'm pretty sure that the trouble comes from you (I mean, your system/configuration/settings,.. ) rather than from 'Team R2R' !!!

By the way, you don't need to 'patch' the '.dll', '.exe', '.vst3',... files, just the 'synsoacc.dll' that should be located inside your ...\Windows\System32\
You don't even need to patch that same 'synsoacc.dll' which should be located inside your 'SysWOW64', because it won't be patched !

For reference, some of my comments that you can find along the 'KAWA eLicenser' Team R2R Article...

Like vingula said below, the best way is to indicate step by step how do you do it, because it doesn't work for me too (REAPER x64 always crashes during plug-in scan). I'm using Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64.

Some questions if permit, we hope you help us:

- Windows version (7, 8, 8.1, x86, x64)?
- do you use 32bit or 64bit REAPER DAW?
- do you use 32bit or 64bit PPG Wave 3.V plugin? assuming VST2 (REAPER doesn't support VST3 plugins)?

I precise the R2R installer doesn't install synsoacc.dll file (neither system32 or SysWOW64), so where this file come from? EDIT: saw elsewhere these files come from official (lastest) release...

Arturia CS-80V2 and Jupiter-8V2 are working fine, however, but due to Soft-eLicenser "activator" by Air.

Thanks in advance for more explanations, really will be appreciated.

Sorry about my English faults (I'm French).

@ Docam28 & Vingula,

So here we go...

Firstly, some clarifications about my OS, DAWs Versions,...
I'm running these 'Team R2R' Releases under 'Windows 8.1' (64bit), within the most usual DAWs as 'Reaper v4.6.1', 'FL Studio Producer Edition BETA v11.3', 'PreSonus Studio One 2 v2.6.2',... all these are the 64bit Versions.

Now for the installations of these 'Team R2R' Releases, I've simply installed them the usual way, then before to launch them, logically, I 'patched' the 'synsoacc.dll' file that is located inside my ...\Windows\System32 Folder.
You don't need to 'patch' that same 'synsoacc.dll' file that should be located inside your 'SysWOW64' Folder because it won't be patched !?!

The main reason why you don't need to directly 'patch' any '.exe', '.dll', '.vst3',... file is because when you use the 'Team R2R' Patcher, it asks you to locate a 'SYNSOACC Protected PE' file, so simply indicate (and select) where you 'synsoacc.dll' is located (see above), and you'll receive the validation of the patching process within the 'Patcher'.
When done, all you have to do is to launch your usual DAWs, re-scan your VST Plugins Folder(s) if necessary, then you must be able to load and enjoy these 'Team R2R' Releases without any restrictions...

P.S: I must add that I installed that 'KAWA eLicenser' for the first time within my system ('v1.0.2'), I don't have installed the previous one ('v1.0.1'). Not sure that it can be the cause of your failure, but just verify this option too... we never know !

quote by docam28assuming VST2 (REAPER doesn't support VST3 plugins

I use the VST2 Version (.'dll') within 'Reaper'.

quote by docam28I precise the R2R installer doesn't install synsoacc.dll file (neither system32 or SysWOW64), so where this file come from?

For this, and if not already done (neither present within your System as it seems that's your case), you must to install it.
You can find the 'last-in-date' Version of 'eLicenser' this way :

http://www.elicenser.net/en/latest_downloads.html

Good Luck !

Okay Studio555, firstly thanks for these explanations. Unfortunately I have tested again and again, Windows 7 x64 Pro clean installs, REAPER 4.7 x64 (Cantabile Solo x64), no other previous KAWA, but only lastest official eLC software (v6.7.1.8150 - 30 june 2014), nothing works (except Vox Continental), crashes every time I'm doing plugins scan as soon as I install a Waldorf x64 VST2 plugin, that's all!

Using only this KAWA by R2R : /audio-software/win/71088-download_r2r-kawa-elicenser-v102-r2r.h

tml

However, I precise again : the patcher (Kawa-eLicenser_Patch.exe) modifies the file inside SysWOW64 (not inside system32), I precise I select C:\Windows\system32 from open dialog to locate SYNSOACC Protected PE file (and I'm absolutely sure about this). MD5 modified (as indicated in other post), and file timestamp (last modified) changed too.

After eLC install (and before patching) : both SYNOACC.DLL from SysWOW64 and system32 are different (filesizes are different).

Again not work...

I was going to these steps...and try on brothers PC, He was freshly installed new Win 7 x64

1. Install FL Studio 11

2. Download eLicenser from their site
- install eLicenser

3. run Kawa-eLicenser_Install.exe (R2R)
when he is finished....I click OK

4. run Kawa-eLicenser_Patch.exe (R2R), click PATCH, then I choose folder C:\Windows\System32... then choose file SYNSOACC.dll - then click Open (OK)
- in same window I got message "Successfully patched" - "Start Verifyng" - "Done" ...then click EXIT

5. run setup from Waldrof PPG Wave 3-R2R folder (downloaded from audioz.info)
- choose x64 VSTi version, and installation was ok (Successfully instaled)

6. I run FL Studio 11 and make rescan VSTi's, then choose PPG Wave 3.V - close list on "X" button

7.when I choose PPG Wave 3.V my FL Studio is crashed, everytime when I try again....not work.

@ Vingula,

Maybe your failure comes from the fact that you have installed the 'KAWA eLicenser' and used the 'Patcher' first, then installed the 'Waldorf PPG 3.V afterwards...
You should rather try the following procedure :

1. Syncrosoft eLicenser.
2. Waldorf PPG 3.V (or any other of the 'Team R2R' Plugins), but DON'T launch it (them) at the end of the installation within your DAWs.
3. Install the 'KAWA eLicenser' and then 'patch' your 'synsoacc.dll'.

When done, you can now launch your DAW (FL Studio 11), re-scan your VST Plugins Folder, and now all should be fine.
It's what I done within my System and all is working fine...

As you can see in these 3 images depicting these 3 recent 'Team R2R' Plugins installed within my System ('Windows 8.1' 64bit), all are working fine, and I use the 64bit Versions of the Plugins as well as a 64bit Version of 'FL Studio Producer 11.3' (BETA Version).
So, at this moment, the only suggestion that I can give you is to try once again following the 3 Steps written above...

Good Luck !

I just tried now (follow your 3 steps)...but same problem: http://imgur.com/6iUC5GQ

UPDATE on post in 3:49h - I do not know even how, but were functional by itself...FINALLY WORKS, thanks to Studio 555, Sunny and R2R Team.

I'll try tomorrow again on my computer ;)
