Kick is kick drum synthesizer that allows a user to create kick drums and tune them to their tracks. It combines a synthesised sub oscillator and sampled clicks to create a wide variety of kick drums, percussive and bass sounds. With Pitch, Amp and Click envelope editors, drive, pitch control and the Nicky Romero designed distortion section, there is plenty to tweak.

For the unhappy mac user i found a solution for the problem when the 1.0.1 Installer says he fails after a clean install!
I found everything proper installed and the VST and AU plugs worked as demo and asked for the license file. It was not possible to install it with the License Installer - so i copied the working License from the Edition 1.00 Kick - Nicky Romero.license to the place where it should be /Library/Application Support/Sonic Academy/Kick - Nicky Romero/License

And what a happiness, it works for me (OSX 10.8.5)

The problem with the installers is that it doesn't have enough privileges to write to the Library folder, as with a lot of problematic pkg's

You can fix it with the chmod command in terminal, but the easier method is to download BatChmod. (it's free)

[Solution]

* Install BatChmod
* Point to "Kick - Nicky Romero Edition V1.01.pkg"
* Check R,W,X for owner, group, and Everyone
* Check "Apply to enclosed folders and files"
* Hit Apply

The installer works as intended, and the license file works as well

Hello together i am On OS X Yosemite and had a lot of problems to get things running.
But I think a found a way out.
When i wanted to install the PKG the installer failed while runnning the Post Installation script.
and the License installer was not coming up.
Workarround:
Open a terminal enter :
sudo chmod 77 /Path/to/Installer

you can just drag the Installer Icon on the terminal window to get the Path
Enter You Password then Run installer,


after that i was still not able to Install the License with The license Installer inside the Library/ApplicationSupport/Sonic.. Folder.
I always had a message telling me that License installation failed.

So same Game here Open up a Terminal
[code][/code]sudo chmod 777 /Path/to/LicenseInstaller/

then it worked.

I Know that 777 is not good for safety reasons but It works ;-)

Installs fine but doesn't ask for license? Also, can't find the file licenseinstaller.exe

Any ideas? Win 7 32 bit install

Also forgot to add: I have Kick v1.00 and this works fine, there was a license generator which I used and it works fine. For some reason when I install this update it doesn't ask for license at the end of the installation (which v1.00 did).

**FOUND IT: What a total n00b! Am leaving this in for other noobs. You have to show hidden files and folders and suddenly ProgramData folder will be in C Drive!

I fixed the issue on mac too. In the R2R folder it says KICK.licence rename it to KICK - Nicky Romero.licence in /Library/Application Support/Sonic Academy/Kick - Nicky Romero/License

For those still having problems with the licensing, please follow.

1.Uninstall previous versions.
2.Unrar and install.
3.This is where I had problems. I don't understand this crap (Use the keygen on Windows, or pre-generated keyfile to register.)
Forget about the way step 3 was written.
Step 3. Go to your Drive c/ProgramData folder and scroll down to Sonic Academy Folder. Open the folder. Open Kick - Nicky Romero Folder. Open Preset Folder. Double Click LicenseInstaller. A window will pop-up asking for the location of the license. Navigate to the downloaded file and double click the R2R Folder. Inside the R2R Folder is a file marked Kick. Double click on Kick. Done

PS: Make sure to use the KICK.license file, if you creat a licence with the keygen and then try to use it, it's not gonna work.
