That's just developer release info not info pertaining to the warez release. Yes technically BFD 3 works on Mac as well but the installer for the program itself is only for Win. Basically this thread is only the core library and the other thread with the installer is only released for Win at the moment.

Although I have been using EZDrummer for quite some time I'd like to try this one. Everybody says it sound better. So, I guess, I'll give it a try.

I also think Addictive drums are easier to work with and although I do have Toontrack and BFD2 I always start coming back to Addictive since I get frustrated easy and don't have time to be fiddling around.
I'm going to download BFD3 and check it out but will the bfd2 library work in BFD3 ???... anyway THANXX A MILLION Finally a tasty download...PS I'm still waiting on Sequoia and keep my fingers crossed... rofl

I would agree on almost everything you've said. Superior sounds smoothest and perfect for everything except dirty rock. But the winner for Addictive Drums is the simplicity in all ways; how quick they load, how little cpu they use, the unique features like filtering velocities; synced & looped preview of chosen midi files etc. I only don't know much about bfd but I suspect it is more similar to superior than AD. The simplest, however, is EZdrummer, where inexperienced beginners should start from.


BFD3 will definitely beat Superior2 and Toontrack Guys have to react soon and Update and enhance SD with a better Gui. for example the basic function, Combining different Kit pieces from different Expansions is a suffering process. I don't enjoy tweaking and processing in Superior Despite Quality sounds

Argh, I was too slow... tried to download the 980MB files from uploaded, but I miss the very last 3 files. I'm always reluctant to download this kind of big librairies because they're taken down pretty quickly and re-ups are often in different size.

@Sunny, thanks for all your efforts. Unfortunately 82 parts x 476 MB at uploaded are down. Is there not a more secure way of keeping links alive for at least a week? This 38GB download will take me about a week to download. I've completed about 20%. Thanks in advance!

For those interested, it loads BFD eco kit PIECES (I've just checked), but I haven't found a way to load the ECO presets or the Eco kit presets as they don't show in the menus.

The more secure way would be to lock peeplinks with a password and give it out by PM but that is a lot of work for the contributors and also there is no guarantee that it would even work.

@Catalyst: No need for more work for contributors that they already do. It's already a lot of work and we all appreciate.
We can still be patient and try to grab the files when they will be available again (I always hope then for contributors to re-up the exact same files and therefor we can only download the missing files and not the whole thing again).

Luckily this time, I finally grabbed the last 3 missing files I needed from other servers...
