You paid for it? MUHAHA... Just post a few downloads here and become a Pro member..and you can have everything for free even stuff that havent been released yet. We (long term audioz members) we are just about to test cracked Cubase 8.0 (with tracers "Future Versions Crack") and Ableton 10.

Absolutely...Steinberg is about to buy Ableton..In Cubase 8, Ableton is integrated! This is awesome...I'm so glad I already was able to test it a bit. But the main advantage is, they also intergrated the Photoshop engine to design you CD sleeves..and a new feature called "pixels 2 MIDI" .. Now you can compose music from pictures! Incredible! You are able to simply load a picture of your girlfriend and Cubase will compose an absolutely fitting song for her...But be carefull with jpg artefacts! This could lead to that the composition sounds like "Paralysed" from the "Legendary Stardust Cowboy"..What is indeed not very romantic! Watch it and wait till the trumpet solo!

And here you can see that this guy was the reson why David Bowie used the name "Ziggy Stardust" (from min 2:20)

Nope thats not what i heard!!
Instead they intend to buy Magix and is gonna put all Sequoia and Samplitude intigrated in Cubase 8 not that shitty Daw Live.
Why would anyone use that crap if you maker real music?
I get it if you make dance stuff where you dont need any musical skills to make music only computer skills.
(Well Cubase seems to be heading towards that direction also "hence the new chord track")
And after that they will buy Logic from Apple as Apple not want to have anything to do with musicians anymore they only gonna keep Garageband for their iOS devices.

It's pretty simple. Since Cubase isn't cracked, almost no one here's using it. So it still has this state of being something special and everyone wants to have it. It could be the best DAW (because you don't know without testing). I guess this myth won't be busted, until it's cracked.

Yeah I've been thinking of buying it myself. I actually thought I would burst into flames at the prospect of supporting bullshit dongles but it's really quite tempting. FL Studio is one of the fastest DAWs but the mixer sucks as well as a million other things as well. I also still have yet to be able to get VST3s working and it's been that way for as long as I can remember.

i steinberg buys ableton then u can guess that the future ableton will have a dongle protection.

No One can Crack any eLiCENSER MCFACT product!

Cubase 5 was an eLicenser MCFACT product. maybe it can't be cracked by some definition of cracking, but it is obvious what needs to be done; a real team with real understanding of what people need first and last (a great daw!) warming up the chair for months and making history. I would love to send an encouragement message to r2r, telling them "I know you can do it, all you need is ambition, ambition to be the best". And if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best (team air). I don't think chaos can do it, though. at least not yet. it is the same story again; peace out was spiteful against air, and now chaos is doing the same thing against r2r. he has only one chance to beat them, and that is cubase or protools, especially now when protools can be used with any soundcard.

[sarcasm]They can't do it, but I can... I've coded iLok and eLiCENSER emulators in VB.NET and I've been hacking at Cubase's code to make it use FL Studio's sound engine instead, cause everyone knows all DAWs sound differently and FL has that aliasing sound that is just soooooo analog.

But... I won't release anything until no request has been made in the comments section of any post for at least 10 years.[/sarcasm]

The question I ask: Is anyone seriously working on iLok 2 or eLicenser Mfact or has everyone given up as the task is just too difficult and demanding. I know some of us here have a little more insight on what's happening with the major scene players and could weigh in.

R2R admitted they feel "it is a waste of time every time we try to crack those Cubase and Nexus". Team AiR and Team H2O explained it took 4000 man hours to emulate cubase, although the emulation in both cases was more than just cubase, it included many other programs too.
Basically, the problem is resolution; a team needs to be resolute about this, because only that attitude is prolific; R2R has the "technology", but they're not resolute; they will try to crack every program, but ultimately feel no responsibility about what is needed; you would call them eclectic and that is what they are, but it is the reason that makes them eclectic what concerns me; obviously team AiR was the last great hero of people with no money; they have given us ALL! These days if you can buy cubase or protools - you're good; R2R will provide you with the rest, and that is what these teams think, but the fact is they have tried and they have failed! One last challenge for my dear Japanese: Common! Common! Crack that bitchy bitchy! Doggy doggy buddy buddy loo!

Thanks for the comprehensive reply! It's pretty much what I figured. It's really not worth the man hours with no guarantee of success. I know the guys over at MSJ were working on iLok2 a while back but it seems that interest has come to a halt. Many thought Pro Tools 10 would never be cracked but Team VR (along with our friend JustTrying) made that a reality. Who knows, perhaps some unknown young gun can break it...or...maybe they have really made un-crackable protections.
