AudioZ Exclusive | WiN/OSX | 27.37 MB/25.65 MB
Waves, together with three of today's top producer / engineers, is proud to present the NLS Non-Linear Summer: Three legendary consoles – in one powerful plugin.

The "magical" solid state console belonging to Mark ´Spike´ Stent (Björk, Muse, Maroon 5, Madonna).
The classic console owned by Mike Hedges (The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Dido, Faithless, Manic Street Preachers, U2), heard on such timeless recordings as Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon.
The vintage British console customized for Yoad Nevo (Bryan Adams, Pet Shop Boys, Sugababes, Goldfrapp, Air).

Waves modeled over 100 individual channels in all, capturing the unique color, character, and behavior of each and every input and summing bus amp.

NLS delivers the richness, depth, and harmonic complexity that only analog gear could deliver – until now.

For WiN users:

IMPORTANT RELEASE'S NOTES :
- PC only (if you enjoy losing your time, you can ask for a Mac version)
- No RTAS nor AAX (LG was too lazy)
- You need "Waves.All.Plugins.Bundle.v9r1.x86.x64.REPACK" from team ASSiGN in order to use this release.
- Read carefully the Readme.txt file
- All credits go to team ASSiGN - God bless you !

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install at least one plug-in from ASSiGN's "Waves.All.Plugins.Bundle.v9r1.x86.x64.REPACK" (e.g. SSL 4000 Collection)
2. Run ASSIGN's crack and select the specific components (e.g. SSL 4000 Collection)
2. Copy-paste the content of "Plug-Ins" folder to : C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\
3. Have Phun !

For MAC users:

1. Unzip and you will have 2 files : NLS.bundle and NLSLib_9.0.framework

2. Copy/drop both into /applications/waves/waves plug-ins/

Seems to works with Studio One (VST3) x86/x64, but I didn't test it personally.

Thanks to vivo1973

Edit : Works also with Ableton v8.3 on Macbook pro, 10.6.8.

SIR-THX-ALOT... phones phones phones

Works fine here on WinXP SP3 with Cubase 5.1.2 (Team AIR) and Waves.All.Plugins.Bundle.v9r1.x86.x64-ASSiGN installed.
Just dropped all content to the specific folder (***\Waves\Plug-Ins) and it works like a charm as a VST3 plugin.
VST2 isn't tested right now.

Well, it's not exclusive anymore, but it was on the day I've sent it to SAiNT for him to post here.

Yeah i know for about 1 hour or so it was exclusive.
I was being a bit ironic sorry if you didnt understand

For us who is not uploaders we are most thankful for your hard work thats for sure
But being able to get something exclusive on public webpages these days is almost impossible

I remember many post from that other site that start with a V and ends with lub
They have that Vip sectione where you must pay to get some "exclusive" stuff it eventually slipped out some stuff to public sites
And the mod:s in that site went crazy and banned some members who was as they say stealing it.

That's a nice irony, isn't it?
People who steal software complain about people "stealing" their stolen software... ah, too funny. They react just as the big corporations they claim to be fighting.

Still not a single comment on the plug-in...
Are you guys just collecting plug-ins, and trying if their work, or do you actually also use them, and test also sonically?? dunno

Yes thank you.
As shown in the picture from Horsemen, you have to copy the content in the folder /waves/plugins /

Tried the x64 version on Samplitude x64, works perfectly

Thank you
But be aware that the exact path is not like said in INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

You have to copy in C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins
Like shown in Horsemen picture
Then it works perfectly
(Tried on win7 x64 + Samplitude Pro X Suite x64

Yeah i did a quite intensive test trying to A/B two indentical mixes.
Here's what i did.

I had a hiphop construction kit running 11 stereo tracks. These 11 stereo audio tracks where then send to 22 subgroups/busses.....via aux send (pre-fader, 0db) and their main output was send to nothing/no ouput set.
This way i had two identical mixdowns. The outputs of each 11er pack went to a subgroup called Mix A and Mix B.
In the subgroups belonging to Mix A i put the NLS Channel Stereo and on the Mix A subgroup i put the NLS Buss Stereo.

With this setup i played a bit around checking out the VCA grouping feature etc.
Also i tried to "phase cancel out" the Mix B subgroup to hear what is added etc. by the NLS stuff. It showed me some more bass, coloration by distortion and all that stuff. I can't tell if it was better than the original....it's just a matter of taste.
I guess i really have to start a mix from the beginning with these NLS thing to give a real objective opinion about these babies.
All i can say for now is that they're good to understand and use, have a nice and easy GUI, are coloring the sound in subtle to strong way and you can gain some loudness.
Just try them out for yourself and decide for yourself if they are worth the money or the effort.

I have tried with a drum and.... I cant feel nothing.... Seems like no difference

You should try to dial in more drive (the red one) and check out the 2nd console emulation (based on the EMI TG12345 console) to have more "heavier" results.

great surprise ! Thanks Lord Gaga , SAiNT

Gulliver,
Gulliver
WOW... thanks for that! wink

Sadly, I can't use it, because when I installed Waves 9, it always crashed Cubase when I wanted to open one Waves plug-in, so I had to go back to Waves 8 damn

Anybody else experienced that? Is it worth trying to install it again?
(Tried already two times, always the same)

I use them on Cubase 5.10 , and they run smoothly . Wich version you're on ?

to Gulliver:
you probably have a corrupted file somewhere....it happened to me already w/ cubase (never found which for sure though), and when you you say your waves 9 is crashing cubase that sounds a lot like it.

check your registry and clean it if you need, and reinstall cubase...well that is if you think wave 9 is worth the trouble ofc ^^

@ DonQ-Juz Thank you for your answer, Its true, that way I hear better the effect. Any way, Ill try with some very cold sound to see if this really brings some thing important.

May be this old fashion analog obsession is a bit exaggerated. And if some really want it, can go to any 2nd hand store and buy an old compressor or some not hi fi graphic EQ pass the signal through then youll get you dirty sound... rofl

Also had probs with Waves 9 so I'm back to using waves 8 and just

installed The SSL4000 from Waves 9 (6plugs) so that I can use NLS.

Works perfectly.

Live 8.08 wasn't find it , just by copy it and reescan the plugs .Worked after unistal the waves 9 R1 , clean registry ( HKEY_local machine\sotware\waves ), reinstal it and copy the files to the Program Files\..\Waves\plugins folder ( wich means : pdf to the documents folder inside plugins folder , NLSbundle to root of plugins , the dlls to the root of plugins folder also )

and then let live scan the hole thing while opening and ...... headbang

I was having a GUI problem - slow refreshing when you open a couple of NLS channels, until I discovered that V-Sync setting to "force on" in NVidia driver panel was the problem. Anyone with the slow GUI refreshing problem should check if the "V-Sync" is forced or enabled in the VGA driver. Turn it off and everything will be just peachy. :)

btw. I find v7 Waves plugins the most stable and efficient on CPU, so I still use them. I only installed a few plugins from v8 that are not in v7, and NLS... it all works. :) Waves plugins are so easy to install and I cannot understand what problems people have. With knowledge, I think. All you have to do to make them work is put a waveshell plugin in your VST folder, have a registry key pointing Waves to its install location, and all the *.dlls you want [you choose what plugins you need]at that location. I don't even install it! [in a classical sense - by using setup.exe]

Cheers!

I'm having an impossible time getting Live 8.3.1 to recognize this. It loads every other Waves plug-in from the collection, but not NLS.

do you have to start a reg tool like the logic users have to do to get them recognized?

I, too, would like to know how to register NLS so Logic would recognize it. Alright, I can see NLS Buss/Channel in the Logic insert-menu but it starts "as" one of the ONEknob plugins. Very weird. Any ideas?

BTW: Although I have installed Waves Complete 9R3, Logic in the Audio Unit Manager would only show version 9.0.0 of all plugins. BUT: NLS seems to be version 9.0.2 - which, again, won't run as NLS but as a ONEknob plugin.
