inMusic Brands HeadRush ReValver v5.0.4.CE - V.R screenshot
Team V.R | 8.2024 | Windows | AAX*, VST3, VST, SAL | 323 MB
ReValver is a fifth generation guitar amp sim & analog electronics modeler for Mac and PC.
inMusic ReValver® models guitar amplifiers, stompboxes and effects at the component level, resulting in unmatched realism, dynamics and tone. ReValver’s RIR 2 Cabinet Modeling takes convolution cabinet modeling to another level while ACT (Audio Cloning Technology)™ allows incredible instrument modeling on the input and tone matching on the output. ReValver can also load clones created in our ACT Combo module, making ReValver virtually unlimited. Expand ReValver even further by hosting 3rd party VST/AU plugins within the software. Take ReValver to the live stage with full MIDI control and GIG Mode for seamless switching between presets. ReValver is available as a stand alone program or as an AAX, VST2, VST3 or AU plug in. ReValver 5 also adds amp and FX models from inMusic's HeadRush line of modeling pedalboards.

I'm sorry for being late..., I'm always late, hadn't slept yet

*Uninstall Revalver (preferably through Revo, run CCleaner)

*Go to hosts, add this;

#HeadRush Revalver 5
0.0.0.0 api.inmusicbrands.com
0.0.0.0 www.api.inmusicbrands.com
0.0.0.0 inmusicbrands.com
0.0.0.0 www.inmusicbrands.com
0.0.0.0 wyday.com
0.0.0.0 www.wyday.com

(...dismiss the wyday lines if you have them already written in hosts as R2R suggests for Bogren Digital releases..)

*Go offline or block whole Internet by firewall.

*Install Revalver, do not launch.

*Open CMD as Admin, write this..., just joking..., copy/paste this INTO A .TXT;

******************************************************************

@ setlocal enableextensions
@ cd /d "C:\Program Files\HeadRush"

for /R %%f in (*.exe) do (
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Blocked: %%f" dir=in program="%%f" action=block
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Blocked: %%f" dir=out program="%%f" action=block
)

@ cd /d "C:\ProgramData\HeadRush"

for /R %%f in (*.exe) do (
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Blocked: %%f" dir=in program="%%f" action=block
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Blocked: %%f" dir=out program="%%f" action=block
)

pause

******************************************************************

*Now click on FILE, SAVE AS and name it as "Revalver v5.0.4.bat" (could be any name, but .bat!!!), and in the file type field u've gotta choose "All files", then save it.

*Run the .bat AS ADMIN (right click on it).

*You can return to Internet now.

*Unhide hidden files & folders, system ones included.

*Plug in a usb stick in your machine formated as Fat32, or & format it as Fat32, but you don't need to whipe the stick if it's Fat32 formated, actually I did it in a usb winpe with the whole mess in it.

*Go to "C:\ProgramData\HeadRush\Shared\license", u'll find a .txt called "license", copy the .txt & drop it inside de usb stick.

*Run Revalver tryin' to make your neighbors scream.

This is a permanent or temporary fix, whatever, works, anyway I'm sure that VR &/or R2R will gift their magic while i'm writing.

The preceding non-rev.2 was working, this one is completely fucked! Crash at opening, both standalone and plugin, and there is no license.tx anywhere into ProgramData!

Works flawlessly in my machine and several others through the procedure that I've wrote, anyway VR Team has released the hotfix that avoid the use of a pendrive, is in the first page right now.

Other details; if you have traces of previous releases you have to delete them before install v5.0.4, search for in ProgramData to whipe them off.
Be sure you have installed VC 2015 2022 x86 & x64 and Edge WebView2 runtimes. Most of the new plugins requires those tools.

I don't have WebView3 runtimes installed, which did not stop the non-rev.2 release to run well. Now with the TCD Hotfix, this release is also working! Although I never had any error message about USB stuff, it was just crashing at opening.
Also with the non-rev.2 release, Reaper was seeing the VST2, with this release, it only sees VST3!? Thanks for replying.

U'r welcome. I've first tested installing everything in 3 different OSs, everything worked, then I've just installed VST3, 'cause is my usual choice, I'm gonna try to find why your daw only "see" the VST3.

Thanks. The Hotfix did not last very long, it's again crashing at opening, both standalone and VST3! I'll just uninstall and forget about it.

I'm almost sure that the issue isn't strictly related to Revalver itself, but to some other process (or processes) in background &/or traces of old installations. Being thousands of registry entries & processes interleaved in any Win OS, this digital audio universe requires lots of patience and research, trial & error, discipline about registry, temp files, unused files & folders, disk's space maintenance, & a long so on. If you wanna try again by following a deeper "fresh install way", just tell me.

Unfortunately with Rev 1 that fixed the Act combo
But the Internal vsthost unit crashes on loading a VST3
Maybe V.R or another team will do a rev 2 fix

can we have rev 1 back please rev 2 is a hotmess on win11. loads fine sounds like poo and crashes when changing presets. tried the fix no joy. at least rev 1 was working.

*NOTE* REV 2 is working in Cubase VST3 plug in WIN 11. although its really muddy in most patches but it does work i guess
The light at the end of the tunnel just may be you.
