SWEET DREAMS
In 1982 something magical happened in the world of synths, a Japanese legend was born.

It was one of the synths that defined the sound of the 1980s and was used on countless hits by artists such as The Eurythmics, Cyndi Lauper, and Aha. Now it’s loved more than ever and used on tracks by acts like Charlie Puth, Tame Impala, and the Weeknd.

Now we bring you something very special, the authentic sound of that 80s synth
But that’s just the start, we wanted to build on the legend and make it fit for modern music production workflows. So for those with qualified AKAI MPC/FORCE standalone versions, you get complete touch control of every parameter. You can really get your hands on this vintage classic and craft your future hits.

I wonder how did they get the idea to do this...

Seriously, the last emulation (Odyssey) I tried from AIR Music Technology was horrible.
Hopefully they've done it better this time.

Not to speak about their protection scheme. I own one of their products, but I use the cracked version...

Maybe it's just me but I think AMT's stuff has it's own character that puts them beyond some of the other rehashers of synth history.

I think they're better than they get credit for. Their takes on the Model D & Juno 60 both sound fantastic to me, and the UIs are a joy to use. At least on MPC. I assume the sound quality is comparable between MPC and VST.
I was drunk when I wrote this

I've never been able to enjoy or get into that Odyssey 2600 myself either, but to be fair, it wasn't an Air Music Tech creation and was around quite sometime prior I believe. I didn't like it then (guess it was 32bit days) and was reminded similarly when I tried the 'newest' release of it under the Air MT distribution.

-- Sonivox & Air Music Tech to distribute updated TimewARP 2600 plugin at a new lower price - incl. 64-bit ----- 12th October 2014

Otherwise, I do enjoy most of the Air Music Tech stuff - haven't used the newest stuff too much - but Expand! particularly is one that I find often can fit into productions nicely in various situations and various ways and their products are usually very light on cpu resources.

Haven't tried this one yet but will do so a little later tonight.

EDIT: Played it for a couple hours last night and quite enjoyed it. It seems to operate well, sounds nice and is a perfectly fine representation imo.

Given it's very small size, almost zero cpu consumption, reasonably smooth playing, and that it seems free of any annoying faint clicks and noises (unlike Cherry Audio products) it's hard to not like it....particularly if this is the musical flavour someone is looking for.

I get what you mean, but I found a use for it, plastic bass sound is my jam lately. haha. Everybody want to sound "analog", plastic will become the new cool factor. Hopefully it will become a trend thing in the future.
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

Thanks for this nice share.
How I can install it on MPC Key 61, if it possible?

This is only for computer, not for hardware MPC.

Works great. Windows 11 and 10. Studio One 6.

Personal subjective opinion that is irrelevant to anybody but me:

Decent sketch Juno emu for the MPC standalone (obviously I bought that version as this is software only), although I would probably reach for a different emu of the Juno in my DAW.

Thanx !

Can't wait till someone figures out how to beat protection & install all the AMT plugins in standalone. That will be a game changer !!!
