Speed Up Your Workflow With New Mix And Trim Knobs
Fine tune your dynamics faster than ever, with brand new Trim and Mix knobs for the API 2500, CLA-2A, CLA-3A, CLA-76, R-Comp and SSL G-Master compressors. Now you can stay creative, quickly balancing volume and creating parallel compression in seconds directly from your plugin.

Sculpt your tracks with the rich, textured analog tube Magma sound—now available in a full channel strip covering your most crucial mixing needs: compression/gating, EQ and saturation.

The Magma Channel is modeled on the detailed circuit behavior of carefully selected vintage valve tube hardware, using the same Waves True Valve Modeling technology that was utilized to create the massively successful BB Tubes plugin.

Now you can shape your complete tone and dynamics quickly, with the authentic, warm, classic tube sound that defines the Waves Magma family of plugins.

Magma Channel is built for speed: just a few no-nonsense knobs for drive/saturation, EQ lows, mids, and highs, compression and expansion/gating—each knob carefully designed to hit a sweet spot no matter where you turn it.

The Magma Tube Channel Strip is perfect for any vocal, instrument, or bus. As Grammy-winning mix engineer Jacquire King says, “Whatever you run through it, it just sounds better!”

Add depth and dimension to flat digital tracks, with maximum warmth and clarity. Give silky top end and super-fat bottom to any vocal or instrument. Glue your overall mix together with Magma’s combination of warm drive and compression. Magma Channel is also a great vibe plugin for smashing drums, shaping guitars and synths, getting a classic bass tone, or sculpting lofi loops.

Magma Channel includes three channel strip modules:
Input drive/saturation: Going from subtle saturation to full-on harmonic distortion, with a warm, in-your-face, soft clipping sound that jumps out of the speakers.

3-Band musical EQ: Magma’s streamlined EQ section allows quick tone shaping—don’t worry about numbers, just trust your ears. The EQ section includes High and Low shelves, plus a Mid wide bell knob with sweepable frequency control.

Dynamics: The single-knob compressor goes from gentle glue to full aggressive pump. Turn SMASH on for extra explosiveness, with a higher compression ratio and quick attack and release. The expander/gate will help you get a tighter sound with greater focus and clarity.Magma Channel comes with hundreds of artist presets by dozens of top producers, mixing and mastering engineers, including Jacquire King, Greg Wells, Joe Chiccarelli, Lu Diaz, Neal H Pogue, Richard Chycki, ‘Pooch’ Van Druten, Matt Schaeffer, Jeff Ellis, and dozens more.

With Magma, you can stay focused on your creative vision and nail your sound quickly, with beautiful analog texture and tone on any track.

A witch says,

* No Waves Central installation and account login is required.
* Simplified and much faster installation / uninstallation.
* Instrument libraries are not included. Check our other releases.
* Much faster and more resource friendly with our emulation technology.

Read R2R.txt before everything :)

Side note:

Previous v2023.01.17 release contains WaveShell v14.5 with 0 plugins, which can lead some hosts crashing. v14.5 is not used by any plugins. They are also not digitally signed by Waves. It should be Waves Central issue. v14.5 is removed in this release.

Some people still requests custom install path, but it's not possible anymore. COSMOS has hardcoded path inside.

Correct, but with some very careful fiddling you can delete a whole load of stuff that you do not need after the fact. I recovered around 7 GB of storage doing that.

This is true, still think the previous release is better as I still encountred another problem where some instruments were recognized as effects in Fl Studio on win 10, any similar problem.

Hi Viper! As usual, I'm coming for your wisdom. Would you care to explain how to do that careful fiddling? I need only half of these plugins (if that much) and storage is an issue. Thanks

User "Oneeyedstan" has recommended the VST Wrapper Builder application. It allows you to create individual plug-ins from the shell files. (Plug-ins that are not needed can simply be deleted).

I'm afraid I didn't note down my steps :') However, I shall attempt to repeat the whole process on my main music machine and let you know in due course...

A Little Clean-up...

Firstly, I only wanted the VST3 plugins so performed the minimal install. Since I'm only interested in select effects plugins from this ridiculously mind-blowingly huge collection, anything obviously associated with the VST3 instruments, effects I'm not bothered about, along with SoundGrid, SuperRack and Cosmos, were all deleted. Playing it safe, anything I wasn't certain about was left untouched. If you are going to tinker, then I strongly suggest you take a system snapshot first, so you can roll back any changes should you end up messing things up. Having to go through the entire installation process again would be a right kerfuffle! :')

Here's what I did...

Significant storage space can be recovered, but take care if you are going to tinker and don't forget to create that system snapshot. If anyone has any useful tips to add, feel free to do so below.

Thank you very much Viper. This is gold! I do appreciate the time you took to write everything down (and your tips). I'm not quite confident with tinkering with my system, but I promise I'll read each step carefully.

I said it many times. Warez is great, but the help you get from people here is incredible.
Cheers my friend.

Thanks

It's a massive install I also just want like few effects like 200MB max.
I was going to ask how to remove the rest of plugins but found your post.
Hope I'll reclaim my space back.

Yes previous release had that too.
What I did when opening CLA Hub is to select the patch at the pop up window C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V14 or the Applcation V14 folder. I can remember which one. You can try them both. After that it won't ask you anything anymore.
I guess this is not a R2R related thing. It is an Waves issue. Had the same behavior on PT e Reaper in both releases.
Good luck!

COSMOS Standalone App asking for License.. Weird behavior.. Sometimes, after reinstalling, it doesn't ask.. Then it starts asking for License/Server/Connect thing... even after killing processes..

It works fine inside CR8 plugin (so far)..

Thanks for the Waveshell 14.5 fix.. Thanks R2R and DECiBELLE

Hi I had a similar issue loading Cosmos, you must install the folowing.

from the R2R info:

Install All the following Runtimes
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you use SoundGrid, install/update SoundGrid drivers.

Google "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable", download from Microsoft and install/update :
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012 x86 and x64
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2013 x64
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 x64
Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime (used by CR8 Sampler)

That resolved the error about the license for me.

Hope this helps.....

Peace!

I did all that.. I already had them installed so I reinstalled / repaired them again and restarted the pc. Still, 'couldn't find an active COSMOS license on your system'.. Maybe it's when I'm connected to the internet and my firewall block of COSMOS is not working... Anyway, I'll just use it inside CR8 which seems to be working fine..

Please check my comments on Waves Ultimate v2023.03.26 Incl Emulator-R2R posted here on AudioZ today. They are saying COSMOS works and I'm trying to tell them it does not work even after a fresh install of Windows. It would be helpful if you chimed in.

I am not seeing BB tubes, Cosmos, or CR8 after my install... any ideas of what I need to do ?
  Resident 20.03.2018 4 755

I'm not sure what you could have done to not be seeing them because they are all present and install & work correctly. Was it definitely this release that you installed?
It sounds like you didn't follow all the instructions to perform a clean install, which is especially important if you were to swap to a different team's release.

Perhaps you could perform a thorough uninstall (using a third party uninstaller, like Revo) and try again, but read and follow every step in R2R's guide and make sure you have all prerequisites such as MSVisualC++ and Edge WebView2, etc. (as in hankarlo's post above).

Here's a very handy MS VisualC++ All-In-One repack.
(Save the link because it gets updated sporadically and they use the same URL)

Good Luck

Yeah so everything works fine except I don't have any of the Magma stuff. Do I need to do the VR version and then this one to get it to work ? because I got rid of my previous version of Waves as stated in the install instructions.
  Resident 20.03.2018 4 755

Either R2R OR VR. If you want to have a working version of this R2R release, do not mix it up with VR or any other installers, legit or otherwise. Follow the processes above and in the R2R.txt. I still think you either missed deleting something &/or there were old registry entries leftover, too .
(You would need to run regedit and manually search for entries related to "Waves". Just make sure it's actually Waves Audio and not something else beginning with Waves)
