The new standard in M7 reverb simulation
Samplicity’s sublime Digital Twin of the famous M7 hardware reverb unit

Main features:

134 pristine presets, in full True Stereo
Smooth and fast switching of presets
Very efficient, proprietary convolution engine
Full-fledged EQ section for subtle or drastic sound sculpting

Formats: VST2, VST3 (macOS and Windows) and AU (macOS); AAX not yet available

Zero latency

Works with any host buffer size

Sample rates: the reverb engine works with sample rates up to 48 kHz. With higher host sample rates the reverb input is downsampled to 48 kHz or 44.1 kHz, processed and upsampled. Other components work at higher sample rates.

Un cabrero extremeño dice,

1. Just install

Note: Seventh Heaven is much better....

Samplicity plugins are not protected with an iLok (however they will be, sometime early this year).

I don't know, but it is possible.

Ensure you have the latest vc runtime too.

You guys must have REALLY GOOD EARS to be able to tell the difference between, and benefits of, 500MB - 2GB IR-based reverbs over 10MB - 30MB digital ones like TC Electronic, Exponential Audio (my favourite), Valhalla's stuff, Relab LX480, Lexicon stuff, etc. Just saying.

omg, this is easily the most dull sounding Convolution reverb ever that is not even comparing it with other M7 emulation.

Strange that you can get better result running their free BM7 IR through Altiverb.

Is it really? I always htought Briscati was considered high quality, haven't tried it yet but I'm curious about all convolution reverbs and Altiverb is excellent as is Seventh Heaven. Probably best I've tried so far so it's a bit dissapointing you've said it's ass since you always share a good opinion which is usually accurate.

The original Bricasti M7 unit is not a convolution reverb, it's a digital hardware algorithmic reverb. However, pretty much all plug-in emulations of the Bricasti are convolution reverbs where they have captured IRs from the hardware unit. Convolution reverbs will never be able to perfectly recreate what the original units do, but they can come reasonably close.

In the original M7 units there are interactions between the left and right channels, different modulation parameters for the tail, and many other things that just can't be recreated with IRs. I'm sure they could make a native plugin version of the M7, but it would probably be very CPU heavy, and Bricasti would probably earn less money (in the long run) from doing a plugin version of it.

For 99.9% of all regular music the IRs are more than enough anyways. With so much stuff happening to mask the reverb no one will be able to tell what reverb you are using anyways. Using a real M7 on songs like these would be like using a Château Lafite Rothschild to make Sangria.

The best convolution M7 I've tried is halls of fame. Seventh heaven sounded weird to me. Panning is and sounds out of phase. Keep in mind I have a real briscati.

Are you talking about legit Seventh Heaven, or the R2R version that wasn't cracked properly? Because that deffo had some weird phasing issues IIRC.

I simply cannot understand how such company's get away with selling audio products which are completely void of any audio examples. Personally, I avoid all shady audio companies which completely hide their products behind a veil of deception.
