Both versions worked for ~2 hours using them without any timebomb on Studio One6 for me so far.

Drop all available Preset Banks into Zebra to install them all at once.

u-he let you use the synth for awhile - it can be one week or even a couple of months. They want you to enjoy it. But one day you get a message - "thank you for trying our product". So they expect you to buy it because it's already part of your project. It happened many times with u-he products. So 2 hours does not mean nothing...

My current version of Zebra works so I'll hold off a while.
The version of Repro I use (VR) timebombs, but is the best I have. Thankfully Reaper makes it easy to offline/online FX without reopening the project so I usually just print my parts right after freshly enabling it.

You can stop repro timebombing by denying the .plist write privileges after installing and locking it.
Same with any U-he plugin.

Download this pack from this site first:

Install repro demo and crack
Go to ~library/Application Support/u-he
Right click on repro.plist
Select 'get info'
Scroll down to 'sharing and permissions' and change all to 'read only' (including your user name)
Check 'locked' in General
(don't forget this last step or it won't work)

Strange thing - all releases with 12092 (I don`t know what this mean), all close Logic Pro X. Repro 1-5, Presswerk, now all these Zebra releases.
Though - all successfully validated in plugin scanner, with message "done".

With re-installing back all non 12092 - all working perfectly.
What is reason can be?
Btw, I`ve not found this files at all :

Does anyone have a clue why this is callef 'Legacy' Zebra? Usually they do that to name their old version when they have a new release out, but I see no signs of a Zebra 3 anywhere on u-he's website.

It's working fine here on Win 10, Reaper, VST3. But I ended up uninstalling it after some minutes playing with it. Found no real advantage in using it when I already own Pigments and Phase Plant.

Exactly my point it seems to work fine for now, but a few months down it explodes. I'm sure there are many vsti's that can reproduce the same or better results than this holy grail synth can do.

P.S. Diva is one helluva drug. That seems to work fine from the same developer.

I dont know that release but if i compare to V.R, VSTI is same and this one have some official extra presets. u-he.Zebra.v2.9.3.CE-V.R exploded 1 year later in my system and i couldnt make it work, this one is working for now.

I had installed Zebra.v2.9.3.12092-Ret-2021.08.11, and my "com.u-he.Zebra2.user.txt" was not in "...the data folder."
It was in Zebra2.data\Support\com.u-he.Zebra2.user.txt

So, location may vary according to install?

Also, it seems the Legacy Soundsets will create duplicates within my old Zebra.data Library (and maybe others'), as it will place them in a "User\Legacy" folder, and i already have those in the main Presets folder with differing folder and patch names.

Also a question. There was a warning in the past against using the Vst3 version. Is that warning still valid?

That user text have serial, you need to delete it before install or you can edit and put R2R's serial in it.

Installer asks about data folder, i chose exist one and there is no duplicates.

I had u-he.Zebra.v2.9.3.CE-V.R, it was exploded, i installed this one's VST3 version and it working fine for now.

This synth always seems to come updated but yet some report that it timebombs after extended usage. Is this trouble really worth the hassle? So many other options out here to use and promote on higher levels than whatever sounds this makes. Protection seems too elusive to defeat. Move on..... nothing to see here. LOL.

So I have 2.9.3 zebra 2 installed already and working, mrs heckman version which is on Audioz. Is this Legacy version different? I’m confused
