Arturia MiniFreak V v1.0-AUDIOWAREZ screenshot
AUDIOWAREZ | 02 December 2022 | 153 MB
As an exclusivity for MiniFreak owners, MiniFreak V is a, like-for-like software emulation of its hardware polysynth counterpart, combining identical digital engines with perfectly modeled analog filters, plus a plethora of wildly creative modulation, sequencing, and expression controls - your Freak in the box.

Full hybrid synthesizer power, directly in your DAW.
Choose a Freaky flow to suit your style: enjoy indistinguishable hybrid sound and seamless integration between hardware and software with a VST version of MiniFreak.

Dual sound engines
Start with two sound generators, including every mode from MiniFreak itself, and combine them in whatever fashion you see fit. Stack, blend, or process one engine with the other with gloriously wild results.

Analog response
We modeled MiniFreak's polyphonic multimode filters in extreme detail, to truly bring the fusion of digital and analog to life in your DAW. Capture the crunch, savor the warmth, and embrace the scream.

Express yourself
MiniFreak is an instrument designed to be played; it's only fair that its software counterpart matches that. Sequence & automate expression in your DAW, or control it with MiniFreak itself for a seamless & expressive workflow.

Mind-bending modulation
Unlock MiniFreak V's advanced panel to open the like-for-like modulation matrix, letting you rewire and create connections between its parameters. Tap into any aspect of MiniFreak V's sound and make it your own.

Seq & Arp combined
Blur the lines between sequencing & arpeggiation with this intuitive, powerful, and sometimes unpredictable feature, putting playful melodies, patterns, and rhythmic ideas at your fingertips.

Stereo perfection
Just like its hardware relative, MiniFreak V features 3 FX slots with 9 FX to choose from, so you can embellish and color your sound with any combination of rich, delicate, or explosive FX in full stereo.

The SA version uses the VST2 .dll to work, maybe you forgot to copy the patched .dll to the right folder.
There is no knowledge that is not power.

zippyshare has geoblocking enabled for various countries. Use a VPN to download with a server e.g. in USA or other countries where zippyshare is not blocked.

Thanks C Sharp !
Installed super easy, but consumes a lot of CPU, IDK if the same thing happens to you, anyway beautiful synth
I'm going to be testing it for a while

yep, base load is quite high on my AMD Ryzen 3700X CPU, around most between 15% in Studio 1 according to performance meter.
Not good, too high base load. Let's hope they release a patch to reduce base load..

The Augmented stuff seems particularly (read: overly) CPU intensive. Perhaps it is necessary to make the sound they envisioned. I didn't dig deep or anything like that so all I can go on is intincts: Perhaps it can be tamed by them some, instead. I think maybe ya.

What are your PC specs? It would be helpful to know.

If I remember to do it I will report my CPU experience on 12th gen new machine later ;)

EDIT: Just for the quick test I put 2 instances of this plugin along with Vital, Serum, Plasmonic and Rapid (demo ) with Cableguys effects, eq, full drums and master bus plugins, my CPU is only hovering around 25% at very low buffer rate and 32bit 96khz. So I say this plugin is not a hog, it run ok or "normal" on 12th gen CPU.

Pretty cool! Since my switch to mac I've gone the legal route but I wonder if your effort wil make Arturia consider releasing this to the public! Let's hope :)

Wow! This sounds surprisingly good. Kinda tempted to checking out/buying the hardware version.
Thank you!

I agree. It has some very strong points (sound output), but maybe not so much in some design areas, mind you I only played it for 1 hour testing each function fast and designing one custome preset from init patch. Its a cool synth for sure

For me, maybe hands on the hardware will be easier and better or more fun to sound design with.

I compared the Hardware and Software versions. The filter is clearly different from the software version. Hardware sounds better here. The dynamics are also a bit different for the benefit of the equipment.
Overall very good equipment

High cpu hit.

On 12th gen CPU it runs perfectly fine. Its no more hungry than any other recent synth I tested against it.

I have a 10-year old i5 laptop for testing purposes. MiniFreak runs smoothly on it, taking around 10% of CPU when playing the most advanced polyphonic patches.
It takes more CPU only when the plugin window is open (but still runs smoothly).
