Yes, 5.1.8732 is the last version before the new Epic, which is v6.0. The one here is an old 4.0 version from 2019. The crack does not work with the Epic version (which I downloaded from their site just to make sure). I don't know if it works with this v4.0 version, because I own the official 5.0 version and didn't want to risk losing it.

Before they released the epic version, I gave them some new proposal, but the actual video demo of the epic version did not meet my expectations, I will not choose to pay to upgrade to the epic version for now.

I am not interested in this, and have not the first clue how it works, but I read all you have said above. Quite often, plugins have urls hard coded right into them. One of you would be wise to search the .vst3 or .dll for url strings and then visit them. Maybe it will download the golden missing part. Worth a look.

It makes no sense, these plugins send a certain request, the server processes it according to an algorithm and sends back the result. Theoretically, It's possible to create an emulator, but you need to hack the server and download the backend.
But it looks like it doesn't need internet connection at all and generates everything by itself.

captain chords host blocker.exe file is the one that does this for you automatically
You just have to run it with the administrator privilege
or
You can rename the host file in the windows/system32 folder and put an empty one
and click captain chords host blocker.exe
He will write you addresses and you will know them
Then you have the choice to transfer it or not in the original host file.

Most AV can stop them temporarily
Stop Your AV and do what you want
Then restart it .

I use flstudio and all the VST tell me an error sending a request between the host file and I think this is fine..

About the authentication procedure: I own a legit copy of Captain Plugins 5.0 and, out of curiosity, I blocked the authentication servers using the included program. The plugin went through the motions for connecting and kept working normally. Therefore, it seems that the information that it downloads something from the servers in order to work is not true - either that or version 5.0 connects to different servers.

Legit user here as well...

This version is at least a few years old and not the Epic update as labeled as Epic is v.6.0+.

Also the midi for the chord progressions is built into the program and an algorithm generates the melodies from the chords, I highly doubt it needs a constant connection for that. Pretty sure it just phones home at each launch (and thats it) regarding the online requirement.

its actually a really good piece of software, regularly updated. Epic has much more built in. It's great for giving inspiration for ideas when you're feeling a bit dry. Not for everyone but definitely helped me out on occasions where ive needed some fresh patterns or ideas to kick start an element of a track im working on.

In the download there's a license file, open it up and put that code in. If it still doesn't work, it's because you have your DAW blocked from accessing the internet (at least that's what my problem was).

Cool thing guys, After you open the program and get it working, the program will tell you that it needs to upgrade (for me, to version 5.1.8748.0). Well, I upgraded and it's working fine still. I just installed the upgrade right over the previous installation, no uninstall.

So really, it's version 5.
