I appreciate the share but I give up. This is a junk release. Hopefully VR will rerelease it with a fix.

Everything works fine for me , but I can't find preset when I click on the search preset bar...

Would not load in Bitwig 4.01, which just gave a very unhelpful obscure message 'could not create plugin instance: could not initialize component: kResultFalse'.

quote by VicSTThese not, but Pigments 3.7.0 yes, currently I have installed from Arturia, in this order...

Arturia.Pigments.v3.7.0.CE [SYNTH] [SCENE]
Arturia.Augmented.STRINGS.v1.1.0.CE [STRINGS] [SCENE]
Arturia.Augmented.VOICES.v1.0.0.CE [VOICES] [SCENE]

All working perfect in Windows 11 Pro (21H2)

Ok, thank a mill, for the help and info. And to anyone else who was trying to help figure this out, thank you!

I uninstalled previous release of pigments .
Then installed v3.7 Pigments V.R
Then this release VOICES v1.0.0.CE.

I also changed the install location in the last option of the installer to:

From

d:\Arturia

To

C:\Program Data\Arturia

All working now, no install errors or start up errors.

So, I think Pigments must install a certain file or dir that Voices is dependent on.

PS: I personally always restart my PC after installing or uninstalling these apps.

Just flicking through the presets on Voices, sounds cool, some interesting sounds so far!

@hankarlo thank you very much for your instruction.
Your approach and problem solving is real one.
I did it like you instruct and Pigments, Strings and Voices working ok.
I have one question "would everything work if I will install Arturia Synth Collection V 2022.5 CE-V.R.?
Thanks for all.

@Domovnik try instruction from hankarlo (comment 122).
I had a same problem like you, but after I followed instruction of hankarlo everything working ok. If you have some software from Arturia firstly you have to uninstall it, and check all places where Arturia put his files, and delete it manually.
I have Synth Collection V v.8.0, and I uninstall it.
After that I checked all places and delete odd folders and files.
After that install V.R. Pigments and after that Voices and Strings.
If you follow this you would not get error in the end of installation (mentioned in previous comments), and you would not suffer of GUI error.

Thank you very much @hankarlo.
I look forward to hearing about the outcome of that installation. Great thanks to your instructions, this help me to made Pigments, Strings and Voices to work.
I don't have the nerve anymore to bring the whole thing to collapse again (Arturia database). Previously, all installations after the installation of Synth Collection V ended in loss of presets (due to disruption of the Arturia database after installation).
I wish you all best.

@ PedjaK.
Firstly, apologies for delay. I tried the folllowing on a new desktop PC, I built myself a few weeks ago. So its a fresh install of windows 10 Pro latest bulid, with no Arturia apps installed on it before now.

Ok, I tried installing Pigments, Voices and Strings, in that order. I chose the
C:\Program Data\Arturia as the common dir for all.

Pigments worked, Voices and Strings wouldnt start, even though they all installed without any errors or startup errors, Voices and Strings wouldnt start at all.

So, I uninstalled Voices and Strings, and deleted any files that were left behind to tidy things up. ( restart PC between that)

Then installed Synth collection, then Voices then Strings but changed the common dir to C:\\Arturia ( restart PC between each install)

All 4 are working now , no issues.

So. from what I can gather, there seems to be an issue with certain files getting overwritten, when certain paths are chosen for installing Voices and Strings.
Also. I think V.R are aware of this, thats why the default dir in common file option is D:\Arturia.
Maybe they should of put a little note in the .NFO to make us aware of the possible conflict for some users.
Anyway, Im not complaining, just would of saved a lot of messing about for some of us.

Thanks to everyone who gives up their time to bring these goodies to us. I really appreciate the effort.

Peace!

PS: I also added Piano collection, just now, chose C:\Arturia as common path, thats also working good, along with the others.

Hope this helps anyone struggling to get these amazing apps to work. Thanks to team V.R for all their hard work.

@hankarlo

Thank you very much for your efforts and for the very detailed information about what happened to you. Thank you also for the conclusions you have drawn from all this.
You are not delay at all.
As far as I understand, you first did the same thing that worked before, and that is installing Pigments, Strings and Voices in the C:\ProgramData folder.
Why didn't it work in the subsequent installation (it works for me), I don't understand?
In the end (after uninstalling Strings and Voices) only Pigments remained in that folder, all the other things you installed (SynthCollection, Strings, Voices and PianoCollection) are now in the C:\Arturia folder.
My first unsuccessful attempt, in my opinion, was similar. I had Synth Collection 2021.7 installed (on the C: drive in the default folder) and Strings and Voices in the D:\Arturia folder. This produced an error (in the formation of the database), at the end of the installation.
Strings and Voices could not started.
It's not entirely clear to me, if I could now install Synth Collection 2022.5 in the D:\Arturia folder, and would it all work?
Or would it not work because both String and Voices remained in the C:\ProgramData folder?
Once again, thank you very much for everything.

@Jasuscat

I noticed this (my CPU is Intel I9 10850K) .
With some sounds CPU usage is 40-50%.
This is really weird?

Sorry I cant answer that question at the moment, I'll try again later, if you wish.

But from what I gathered the issue seems to be a conflict with certain files from Voices in particular, when there installed to C:\Program Data\Arturia
For me, this seemed to be resolved by installing all common file from all of the latest V.R releases to C:\Arturia.
I havent installed anything to D:\Arturia.
Since doing this, Ive no errors.
This might be the solution to your errors.

Peace!

@hankarlo You really don't need to sorry. You are really very polite, and I very much appreciate you effort to help me (I am sure that it is a great help for other user too).
As far as I understand, only Pigments remained in the folder C:\ProgramData\Arturia.
Which means I should uninstall Strings and Voices, and delete the tails, left over from those installations.
After that I should install Strings and Voices, but now in the C:\Arturia folder, and then Synth Collection 2022.5 in the same folder (possibly some other collections).
That way the situation would be the same as yours.
Among other things, do you have the same problem with CPU usage (in Strings and Voices)?
Have a nice day or night (if you are in Europe).

@ PedjaK
Its no problem at all, Im glad it was of some help to anyone that had troubles with installing these apps.
Yes, I'd suggest trying what I did, and do as you have written in the above reply.
Choose location C:\Arturia as the Common Folder for all apps, in install menu. (its the 3rd option from the install menu on all apps)

Also In the install menu

Leave option 1 as default and 2 as default or where ever your VST2 folder is.

BTW : Im in Ireland.

Peace!

I am very glad that you are from Ireland, it is a country I love very much. I have never been in your beautiful country, but I hope to visit her one day.
In order not to remain a secret, I am from Serbia.
There is one more question left, to which you have essentially given an answer, but I am asking again.
Should I leave Pigments in the C:\ProgramData\Arturia folder?
I wish you all the best.
  Member 16.01.2014 259
+46
Yes, you can leave Pigments @ C:\ProgramData\Arturia

Sorry, I should of stated that previously.
I've just double checked for you, and thats the same location as mine, for Pigments.

I believe Serbia is a beautiful country also. Thankfully we both live in peaceful countries and can sleep without worry at night

I know its off topic so maybe you can PM me the answer if you wish. What kind of music influences you? What genre do you like to produce?

Also, sorry I havent tested it enough to know if theres CPU spikes. I'll let you know if I notice any. Im not sure if its relevant, but my CPU is fairly new, Im very lucky to have an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X.

BTW: your english is excellent!

Peace!

Thank you. I look forwrd to reading the PM. Hope you figure out the installation of the Arturia apps.
If you have anymore questions, I'd be happy to try and help.

But as you've probably already gathered, I'm learning as I go....

Good night to you also

Peace!

A more foolproof installation method for this is to use the original installer from Arturia and then just replace the VST2 dll and the vst3 file with the cracked ones that are installed by this release. This how the Strings Intro was released by VR and it turns out the method works here too. The cracks are quite similar judging by comparison of binary diffs.

As with the intro release, Arturia installs both of the VST files twice. It's probably best to replace both instances; the unusual copies reside in C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Augmented VOICES\x64. I think the standalone loads (one of) these, but I'm not 100% and didn't feel like experimenting to see what's still in demo if I don't replace those.

This V.R. installer is completely useless by itself because it fails to install sqlite.dll in ProgramData\Arturia\Shared\x64, so no reading or writing of the presets db can ever work just with this release. Those for whom it works probably have that file from some other V.R. release or original Arturia installers. It also fails to install all the images in ProgramData\Arturia\Shared\images\vc8_images that the original installer does. So I'm guessing that the V collection 8 is a prerequisite for the V.R. installer.

You're right through and through poor dude . Official installer plus the vst3 or 64bit dll from V.R installer are sufficient to make the whole thing work smoothly. You nevertheless need to install (and uninstall) first the V.R package to have a copy of these 2 files to be able to overwrite the official ones after install.

You can also use the Arturia Software Center afterwards (installed by the official installer) to move all Arturia database to a drive of your choice (provided you create an account to be able to run this utility which you can then uninstall if you like).

And of course, thank you V.R for making this possible!
If nothing goes right, go left!

No need for Arturia official installation.
Only fallow instruction from @hankarlo from comment 15.05.22 @ 17:01.
All is working after that, Pigments 3.70, Synth Collection 2022.5, Voices 1.0 and Strings 1.10.
Great thanks to @hankarlo.
Before his instruction, a have permanently problems with Arturia installation.
Of course great thanks to V.R. for all his efforts and share.

Processor occupation in Arturia Voices and Strings drastically difference than Windows Task Manager shows. Check when you play.
Why is like this, I don't know?
