How is this compared to something like Avid HEAT , or anything else like Crane Phoenix developed by Dave Hill ? Question to the expert is this group!!
Is it a similar approach with more complexity? I'm going to try this guy right here

I've tested them all, P42 is up there or even maybe better ?
Love Dave Hill's programming no question about it. But sometimes when you want to dialing in a specific saturation, things get hard. with P42, you can fine tune to the extreme and I love that. I haven't yet compared let's say Phoenix and P42 side by side but i'm fairly sure one will not replace the other it's just a matter of taste and workflow. (HEAT is verrrrry hard to fine tune, two master settings for all tracks, so I end up bypassing it a lot (eg clean gtrs etc)).
Peacock gets used but RA rarely
Overstayer MAS is very nice too, I bought it early 2022 using it a lot (hope to have an unlocked version soon)
But P42 is what I was waiting for to have that "big console Transformer sat" sound ;) ;)
Anyway, super grateful for these tools

P42 is great, i have to admit that this one is by far one of the best saturators I've ever used, still very clean compared to any saturator if you don't push it hard, makes everything full and pleasing, btw HEAT is great even it's old and doesn't have so much control, sometimes i like tools that comes with a sort of limitations so you pretend working on consoles that doesn't offer control over their internal components, however i would to see HEAT implement at least an "amount" knob, Phoenix II still my go to tape "mix finisher".
But dude this P42 right here is a beast.

maybe try uninstalling then just download the demo from the website and use keygen. it worked for me. i didnt even install the one included with this release. and its showing fully activated

Thanks, for the tips. I saw that gearspace thread too but it didn't work for me either. If anyone else is having issues you can always use a bridge plugin like Patch Work or MetaPlugin as well.

For Anyone (legit and R2R users) who uses FL 20:

Change the plugin name, in my case i put "p42 Clima"
Rescan the list WITHOUT VERIFYING (this is the most important step)
The plugin will appear with an "?" at the list
Mark the plugin as an Effect, and you're done.

More seriously this promises to be the "step up" on analog behavior and is claimed as a gem in the forums and other webs; curious to test it out after all the fuss.

After some extensive usage (bass, bus, vocals, guitar, keys) I did not have that wow factor I got with Kelvin with its shaping capabilities. This thing is just giving a good tone on what you put it on and a pleasing, not grotesque but rather natural harmonic distribution.

I don't understand R2R why don't released retail versions. Keygen gives a lot of trojan and virus warnings, false or true doesn't matter. Also it doesn't work like a keygen, it's a patch.

Is it more difficult to make a patch where antivirus programs do not give warnings than to crack a software?
