I have never had problems with all u-he stuff, serum and other problematic plugins since my 2012 PC, only once Diva showed black circle from one of the oldest release, other updates were fine....r2r, vr....

Did not try RET release, but it seems like "RET = R2R part 2"

If I may, it is not exactly that, RETSU (as it is the real name of the Team) have simply benefited of a great help and resources from R2R, it doesn't mean that they are the same Team or they really know each other, far from that.

I think (it is only my opinion here, not proven facts) that R2R, maybe, have understood the importance of transmission, so that their legacy will perpetuates, even long, long time after the group retires from the scene, if of course they do one day such a thing, that I hope not.

Long live R2R and RETSU!!!

EDIT: One guy/Gal/Team I miss so much: HEXWARS, a true community hero, one of the pioneers of mac cracking, dunno why exactly he/she retired from the scene, it's so sad!

I installed this yesterday, Hackintosh Catalina 10.15.7 , ten minutes later every keyboard key produced a different note each time you plucked it, think that was definitely a timebomb.
I'm trying today , if this comes back I will go for version 2_9436, anyone has had any experience on that one? thank you.

You need to have the Zebra2 data files in a folder named 'Zebra2.data'. At least, that's what worked for me.

when I ran setup, Malwarebytes gave ransomware warning and closed down. I trust RET but I will leave this comment just for the sake of information because I've never had this issue with many hundreds of installers. I only turn off anti-virus for Keygen.

i got time bomb today, uninstalled with advanced uninstallers and reinstalled again with various versions of 2.9.X (V.R, RET, R2R) no success, anyone have a solution?

Edit: u-he synth bundle 2020.01 CE fixed it!

Neither Revo nor BCUninstaller managed to uninstall all of the traces of Zebra from my machine despite repeated attempts to do so.

This is almost certainly because you've got remnants of earlier versions lurking on your machine somewhere. Installing the latest Dark Zebra timebombed the CE version I had installed, so I thought I'd try and install this one instead. Numerous attempts at entering the user name and serial wouldn't hold. Then I read somewhere that I needed to enter the data in a file called com.u-he.Zebra.user.

The file wasn't visible in the location where I was told it should be. It turned out, I had two copies in different places and neither of them were visible in the finder. Searching for them with Everything located two different copies. One of them was registered to Gordon Shumway, the other was registered to Urs Heckman. I had to change the permissions to read/write and then enter the user name and password from this release.

Once I'd done it, it started holding onto the correct username and password and acted like it was fully registered. Apparently, later versions look for bad usernames and if they detect them on your system, you get the timebomb. Both versions of 2.9.3 were detecting the bad usernames on my machine and killing it for me. Once the bad names were gone, everything worked fine.

I found a bug.
When you go to the folder USER and right click "show in explorer" in the browser,
it crashes Live 11.2. + Windows 10
I replicated that situation twice.

papawise -- you need to write to Urs Heckman and let him know. This is a standard installer, straight from the developer. If there's a bug, it's a developers bug -- there's nothing anybody here can do about it.
