V.I.P. Note
only Studio Rack is installed to default VST plugin folder & seen by DAW
but
all other waves Plugins are installed mainly here = 6.4 GB :-
C:\Program Files\Waves

a little here = 2 GB :-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves

So you have to re-direct your DAW to these 2 Paths so it can see waves plugins
still open with blank black screen !! in Studio one 5 pro !!
I'm here , That's more than enough !!

Just copy waveshells to your default VST location. Problem solved

unfortunately , this didn't work for me !!

I copied as u advised me the whole (WaveShell) plugins to these 3 paths
VST2 x64
(C:\Program Files\Vstplugins)
vst3
(C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3)
.aaxplugin
(C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins)

what worked for me is :-

only re-directing my DAW scanning path to the (waves) folder here :
C:\Program Files\Waves
most of the waves plugins worked
but some still blank black screens !!
I'm here , That's more than enough !!

Where can I download the Instrument Libraries?

From the Waves site, just register if you don't have an account and type "sample libraries" in the search box (manual install)

V11 is not officially supported on Win 7, last fully supported version is V10:

Not working!!! I'm totally at a loss!
OS: Windows 10 v2004 (508).
Reaper v6.13: The VST3 plugins show weird hexadecimal names like VST3: 00303C0F5089D601,112429941 and I get an error "plug-in could not be loaded".
The VST2's show proper names but again the same error "plug-in could not be loaded". This is a totally clean install. No previous Waves plugins were ever installed on this PC
Studio One v5: Correct names but none of the plug-ins load.
Wavelab Pro 10.0.40 (legit):"A serious error has occured inside the plug-in.... it would be best to save your work and restart Wavelab Pro."
Cubase Pro 10.5 (legit): Correct names but plug-ins fail to load.
I tried repairing Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable Package (x64) but that made no difference at all. Any suggestions? Thanks!

OK, I found the solution. When the installer starts change the default "Destination Location" from
C:\Program Files\Waves to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves
and voila all the plug-ins will load properly.
I did find some remnants of weird hexadecimal VST3 plug-in names in REAPER but when I did a full "clear cache/rescan" that sorted it out. So YES it was an installer issue, Waves must always install to C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves

Enjoy!!

I got this problem in Studio One V5 that any VST2 plugin I load shows a black GUI. Does anyone know how to solve this? VST3 works fine but not all waves plugins are VST3

If you have problems with this release on a fresh Windows 10 installation try this:

Install:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) - 11.0.61030
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x86) - 14.22.27821
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86) - 11.0.61030
(plus those I will mention below if you don´t have them installed)

Or install the following R2R release first in order to get the required Visual C++ versions:
"Waves Complete v2019.07.10 Incl Emulator-R2R" (you can find this version here on Audioz)
Then uninstall it again and try to install this release "Waves Complete v2020.09.08 Incl Emulator-R2R".

This worked for me.

Previous to installing the above mentioned Visual C++ Versions I had only the following Visual C++ versions installed on my Computer:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64) - 12.0.21005
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86) - 12.0.21005
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x64) - 14.28.29325

My problem when installing Waves complete v.11 R2R VST3 was the following:
I could see the Waves Plugins in the Plugin Manager of Cubase 10 Pro, but I could not open the Plugins - they just didnt show up.

Important:

When lounching the Installer of this Waves v.11 Version, change the installation path to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves

Now this R2R release is working fine on my Windows 10 Pro 1909.
