Overloud TH-U is a software suite for guitarists and bass players who like to do everything in the DAW. The previous version was TH-3 version, and the new TH-U brings more of everything: 15 new amps (94 in total), 14 new speakers (52 in total), 2 new effects (77 in total), a redesigned Cabinet IR module and a search function for presets.

RIG PLAYER
TH-U is able to load rig models created from real setups.
The Overloud proprietary technology allows our engineers to sample and capture the response of an entire rig, including the nonlinear and dynamic response of the amplifier, the cabinet, the microphones, the mic preamplifier and the room sound. Rig To Model technology allows you to capture both analog and digital setups. The Rig Player, integrated into TH-U, allows you to reproduce any nuance of the sampled rigs.

AMP TWEAK
Thanks to its innovative dsp technology, TH-U features a new panel which allows you to change the pre and power tubes models, as well as to simulate the action of a variac. This allows you to mod any amplifier model with an almost limitless combination of tubes and opens the product to new sound capabilities.

I am on a Win7 laptop. Everything but Slate is working, but I did get Slate to work consistently by doing the following:

Load any of the classics...such as American Classics, select a preset. THEN go to Slate Classics.....all presets are there and usable. They work fine just like the others, but if you restart your DAW, the process has to be repeated.
It seems loading any other rig activates the Slate presets. Very strange, but workable. AFAIK, everything else is working. Thanks Mordi and VR!

They do change, look closer, sometimes just one knob is moving, like for example the gain going down from 11 o'clock down to 10 o'clock so it's barely noticeable.

Update : After some playing around

Found that its only the Slate presets that don't work just delete the slate preset banks.
you can access the slate amps via the drop down menu in the rig player

And what if you rename all presets (with for eg a * behind) and save while it is working ?

the slate presets just did not load, Clicking them did not load any components what so ever so saving them would do nothing.
after reading some information at overlouds site
the slate version is Overloud TH-U Slate Edition 1.0.11. it is ilok licenced to slates subscription service.
Overloud does offer a upgrade to the full version on purchase
with a licence transfer.
it could be that the presets file is from the slate digital version and not from the Overloud TH-U 1.0.13 version and could have encryption left over from within slates ilok subscription service and this is why the presets wont load.
as we have no idea what versions Team V.R used to package the release

Only Team V.R knows
at any rate if you just delete the slate preset banks the release works as intended

MF'ing Slate... I already deleted the presets but are those other methods described actually making it work?
