P2P | 04 March 2019 | 406 MB
With KONTAKT 6, you can sound like a snare drum, a symphony orchestra, or anything in between, from a universe of sampled instruments. It’s a simple sampler when you want it to be, and a deep sonic scripting laboratory when you need something more. The next generation of the world’s favorite sampling platform gives you new instruments and new features under the hood – so you can layer, link, stretch, and shape your sounds any way you can imagine.

What's new?
Over two decades, KONTAKT has become a highly-developed engine for creating and playing sampled instruments. KONTAKT 6 offers more for players and builders alike:

Introducing KONTAKT Play Series: Three new instruments for the KONTAKT library, offering pristine, contemporary sound in a creative and streamlined interface

Wavetable synthesis module: Build hybrid instruments for entirely new sounds

Enhanced effects: Even more effects for your creations, for greater expression and realism

Creator Tools: New standalone application dedicated to improving the library creation and editing process.

1. Copy the UserData folder from the root folder of Kontakt 5 Portable to the root folder of Kontakt 6 Portable.
2. Open the copied UserData folder, find the Kontakt and Kontakt subfolders there. 5. Delete the Kontakt folder. Rename folder Kontakt 5 to Kontakt
3. Open the Settings.cfg file in the copied folder in a text editor, find the line [Kontakt 5], replace it with [Kontakt Application] Save changes.

How to add Kontakt 6 PORTABLE VST to a host (DAW):

Method 1.
Run Kontakt6Portable \ Install.exe and create a link to the VST plug-ins of the migrated Kontakt in one of the folders that are already scanned by your host.
Method 2
Open your host settings and add the Kontakt6Portable \ Kontakt \ x64 \ VST \ folder (or Kontakt6Portable \ Kontakt \ x86 \ VST \ if the host does not support 64-bit plug-ins) as an additional plug-in scan folder. For details, refer to the manual (manual) of your DAW.

With each new release, the performance is getting worst.

I think it is time for R2R to clean that messy code :)

anyway, thanks for sharing deuces ;)

Hello,
Can someone tell me, in other words, who is "Cyrilles"?

thank a lot in advance.

Cyrilles is a gang, like Guerrillas in Colombia. You shouldn't contain their name anywhere if you don't want to get in trouble.

You don't have to move your instrument libraries inside this Kontakt folder, and it's even better if you put them somewhere else, like in the root of the hard disk in a folder.
In this Kontakt6Portable you need to add the libraries this way:
- Run to Library Manager that is located in Helper/Library Manager folder inside this portable Kontakt main folder.
- click ADD button
- click Browse...
(If you have many libraries in one location, in a main folder, this portable version is able to add them in once, that's awesome, the installed Kontakt version users can envy this unique feature.)
- choose the location and click Select Folder
- when it finished the process, it will prompt you about how many libraries were added. Click OK and close this Add Libraries window.
- you can see the added libraries and if you wish, you can change their order, selecting one and clicking the Up or Down buttons.
THE MOST IMPORTANT IS THIS!!! => Click SAVE button, otherwise the libraries won't be added.
- click OK for the last prompt window and now you can close this Library Manager and launch the Portable, either the standalone app (in Kontakt/x64 or Kontakt/x86 folder, regarding to your windows version, 64 or 32-bit) or the vst plugins.

hello guys, I have a problem with the portable version of kontakt 6.
Uploading some libraries (east west Symphonic Choir) appear with the word DEMO in red.
The same library with the installed kontakt versions are loaded correctly.
Is there any file to copy in the "Kontakt 6.04 portable" folder?
Thank you

Need a little help with this is in Studio One... I can apply it to a track, but can't seem to get the interface UP, that is, showing on the screen. I click the keyboard icon and up comes Instruments, listing Kontakt portable 64, but it's on a tab with other instruments on their own tab too. Any ideas about this. Standalone works fine.
Win 7-64 Ult. + Studio One 4.1.2.50657 Win x64

PS Thanks to those who read this and those who may help here...

Not quite sure I can help but did you add the VST folder shortcut for Kontakt under Options > Locations > VST plug-ins in Studio One? Once that's done Native Instruments should show up and all you do is drag and drop Kontakt to an instrument track and you are good-to-go.

Thanks to deuces....been looking for a software sampler to try out and this one is perfect....For Max/MSP users, Kontakt is not showing up under the plug-in list. A quick fix is to simply drag and drop the "Kontakt Portable x64.dll" (which would be in your VST shortcut folder if you used Method 1) to your Max vst~ object.

i have some things going on with the portable versions, love'em really and want to stay with this versions.. but in cubase 9.5.5 (and older versions) i have (and had) the problem that when i save a project, and re-load it...kontakt portable sometimes doesn't save the library i was using.

my workaround is to note the library i am using in this project, or render in place (bounce).

Maybe it's a cubase related problem?

but this really can be irritating!

any ideas?
