dima, this is a shot in the dark, but if you are speaking about the main problem being slowness not in terms of loading, but in frames per second, you may have a problem with compatibility with your Video card driver. Check that your .net versions are up-to-date, and if there is a newer version of your video driver (and your computer's BIOS). Just a thought, from the perspective of the computer itself, and how much the video is now intertwined with the program software and the drivers for the computer's hardware. Does this problem apply ONLY to this program, or have you had any similar problems with other software? I'm just, probably, stating the obvious, but sometimes we forget the layers of Operating System files, sub-systems, and drivers the software is skating on top of. Just a thought... I always try to check these basics before assuming the software is buggy. No insult meant - truly just trying to be helpful.

User dima21664 has massive performance problems under Windows.
Before I uninstall good running v10.0.1 I want to hear everything runs fine.

what I have noticed is everytime I open Ableton it starts rescanning the "Places". This takes alot of cpu power. Maybe I have to delete the content in the Live Database folder. I will try this

hi, nope pc. I found out that I had a midi thing with over one million files in User Library. I deleted that and the scanning got faster

The current beta is already at 10.0.4 so this is definitely supposed to be a stable release on their end. However, I couldn't get this to work no matter what I tried (batchmod, uninstalling previous versions, etc) so I'll be downgrading for now until a fix shows up in the comments.

Just uninstall previous versions, delete Ableton folders in / Library, / Preferences and remove Ableton Files in Cache Folder.

It's acting weird on High Sierra.
Scanning Core Library on each launch.
Max 4 Live not working: "The Max Installation appears to be broken." No Max path in preferences as well.
Tried the usual stuff: Deleting Pref files. Reauthorize. Premission reset.
Any clues. Thanks in advance.

I tested it: It works completely but.. It takes much longer than 10.0.2 to open; ( I have 10.0.2 in normal hdd but install 10.0.3 in SSD!!). Testing several time to check is it because of buffer or something, but every time 10.0.2 came out much faster. It doesn't relate to 'Places' scan, because it's take long just for the first time and then it is for both ver in comparison. Personally passed this ver.
(System: win 7 x64, Core i5,16 Gb RAM, 5400 rpm hdd (10.0.2) + 128g SSD-Samsung pro series-with 256mb cache (10.0.3).

I'm on Windows 10. I uninstalled my 10.0.1 and installed this 10.0.3.
It works well for me but I have to wait about 5 minutes for it to 'warm up' otherwise I keep getting "not responding" and hang when trying to open a plugin. Ver 10.0.1used to do this to me as well but this version seems to be a bit better. I think this issue is more to do with my aging computer (4g RAM i3) than the software. Once it gets going it works well though - when I go to close it I get "not responding" and hang for a couple of minutes before it shuts. I am getting to try it for free so no complaints from me.

PS. I didn't have to authorise with keygen either.

My anti-virus is detecting a "miner" trojan. Is this safe to install and has anyone else gotten that error? I know that keygens give false positives but this one is different. The trojan is called Occamy.B

Metroid, I have been using keygens and various types of 'fixes' for software for decades - and have never gotten a virus or adware/malware infection from any cracked soft from
1. All of the recognized, well or know groups,
2. Are downloaded well-run sites - like Audioz.
- Virus scanners often will identify Keygens and other cracks by doing the best they can to compare whatever the groups used to crack the protection, different A.V.s often identifying it as completely different names. This is particularly true if you have your A.V. set to do 'Heuristic' ('best-guess') scans. The tools used to crack a program are often very diverse, and the WAY they are used is often very different. This is why I don't have a Virus scanner anymore - just Malwarbytes and a few other small progs. The site "VirusTotal can give you an analysis of many scanners, and most often if it is false, will identify it as multiple types of 'virus' or 'Trojan.' Stick with well-known groups, and trustworthy sites, and don't over-think it. Experienced uploaders like funtime, and sites like Audioz, and (most especially) the group R2R (and groups like them) , are never going to slip up and insert a Trojan of any kind into the software that they have cracked, and are disseminating for trial without restrictions. Windows Defender most often identifies this as a Trojan - and IMHO is an utterly worthless piece of garbage from Microsoft (W. Defender). I haven't used it sense it false identified a cluster of files I was 100% certain were fine - and I was correct. I shut it "Windows Offender," I call it) down, and have never regretted it.
I wouldn't worry about this one, because of where it came from and who uploaded it.
That being said, we all must decide these things ourselves: to download for free, or to download a limited trial, and pay for the original program. Observe back-ups, and use a Virtual Machine if at all possible - and use the free program "Sandboxie" to open Keygens that you have doubts about: a VERY useful little program). Peace

Win 10 x64 here, anyone else having an issue with 32bit vst's using jbridge? GUI's are coming up blank but plays back MIDI notes fine, tried various settings in the txt file in jbridge no luck, definitely a deal breaker on this version if I can't fix, other than that works smooth as butter.

Seems Gatekeeper problem. "Only identified Developers"

Open Terminal and type "sudo spctl --master-disable" without quotes, type your password and exit.
Check in the preferences panel, Security Anywhere is checked.

Try to open again.

For me that command help but first open the zips with keka than permission reset and than the command above in the terminal.
Just use keka and no other.
