hey majik... did you get it working? I was in the exact same boat as what you describe, but after multiple days of trying, on 3 different sets of days... I mean, like, 20 times all the way through, I finally got it going. I did the STEAM folder manually, just working from the 8 ISO images of the Omni 2 installer set from R2R (disk 1) and the other 7 disks from Dynamics. It's tricky on the Mac. Used to be very simple on old Macs, back when v.1 of Omni first came out, but you can do this! I rebooted after the first install, then after system relaunch, I subbed in the k'd component, vst, and aax plugs, rebooted again... opened Omni from within Audio Hijack (easier than loading Logic, or other DAWs)... got the "challenge" data, plugged it into the same keygen that we already have (the same as in the k'd installer, in Windows running under Parallels, pasted into the Omni auth window, hit "Continue" and when the new screen, advising to quit the omni instance and relaunch to verify the challenge/response window came up, I rebootedthe system, went back into Audio Hijack, and there was Omni, running fine, no challenge, no auth window, no nothing... For added measure, you can drag the vst and the component out of their folders to your desktop, use "Get Info" (Command-I) to add yourself as the Owner, and use the same keygen in windows to actually patch the vst and component... then remove yourself as the owner (in Get Info, again) pop them back where they belong, and all is more than well. I just used that file-patch process in the keygen to see if it worked, and it does, but my Omni was running fine already before I did any of that. So, there you go....
